Stylish cabin in the heart of South Devon country

Cosy, spacious, detached two double bedroom rustic cabin conveniently located midway between the stunning beaches on the South Devon Coast and lovely walks on Dartmoor National Park to the north. Set in the gorgeously lush South Hams Devon countryside, great for couples and families who want to get away from it all, for walkers and business travellers. Private, tucked away and surrounded by beautiful countryside yet close to the village with its pubs, The Avon Inn and The Turtley Cornmill The space The Hen House is tastefully decorated, self contained and private. It is approached via a shared stone track, detached and cosy with central heating and a basic open plan kitchen with counter top hob, combination microwave, fridge, sink and compact dishwasher. The sitting room has a small table, chairs and a sofa. The kitchen is open plan to the sitting room. There is a gas bbq and a small private courtyard area with table and chairs with off road parking for up to 2 cars. Little touches that make your stay comfortable include fluffy towels and fresh linen. The two double bedrooms have quality comfortable mattresses and both bedrooms have their own en-suite shower rooms. There is lots to do in surrounding area including visiting lovely beaches, amazing walks on Dartmoor National Park and some super pubs and cafes serving local produce and seafood. There are also plenty of board games, DVDs and books in The Hen House to while away your time. We will leave some of the basics for you on your arrival. Please do bring your own food, additional loo roll, dishwasher tablets etc. Thank you. Guest access Approached by a shared stone farm track, there is a pretty and private, small courtyard area and off street parking for two cars in front of the cabin. Please note that the entrance is around the side of the cabin (not the door in the main photo) Other things to note Your best bet to get around is by car or bike as we are deep in the South Hams Devon countryside, great for peace and quiet. The nearest station is about 12 minutes drive away at Totnes which has a great mainline service but please note that there is no bus route in this part of rural Devon! Please note that its a "get away from it all" space. There is a good mobile phone signal generally at The Hen House and WiFi. There is a small TV which is DVD only, we supply plenty of good DVDs but there is no reception for the TV. The space is suited to a maximum of four guests. Please ensure that you book in the correct amount of guests at time of booking. For your is safety please do not go in to any fields or enter the farm. Please note that The Hen House power supply does not support electric car charging but there are various car charging points locally.
