The space Note: Due to the increase in popularity from our longer-term and repeat guests (i.e. from a week-long to over a month) we don't expect to be able to continue to maintain our Airbnb Superhost status as it requires hosting a minimum number of separate and new stays. This does not change the fact that we still maintain the same high standard with or without anyone's special status. You can expect a private, clean and well-located safe space to meet the needs of most short-term travelers to the Vancouver area. This is approximately a 500 sq. foot self-contained 1-bedroom basement suite in a brand-new house. It's modern looking having quartz kitchen countertops with undermount sink and full backsplash making it easy for your own food preparation and cleaning as well as looking great. Speaking of food preparation, our space now caters to the health-conscious consumer and is the first Airbnb listing in Canada to include a premium blender: the Vitamix Total Nutrition Center 5000 for all guests’ blending or smoothie-making needs. If you are used to making your own fresh smoothies at home for breakfast every morning then you can now maintain the same morning routines during your travels to Vancouver/and the suburbs too. There are not many places around that can say their blender is worth more than a weekend stay. It is furnished with a comfortable Italian leather couch which you can sit on to watch hundreds of cable TV channels. If you prefer to eat out then there are several restaurants (KFC, subway, pizza places, donairs, Asian, McDonald's) in or beside Burquitlam Plaza. One of the best pizza deals in town is from the nearby Pizza Factory on Monday's: A large 2 topping pizza for $8.50 cash only. If you are needing a specific utility or appliance (or anything else) please send me a message BEFORE you book and I can let you know if we have it or not and you can make your decision accordingly. Otherwise do not expect anything else outside of what is previously mentioned here in the ad (and if there does happen to be something extra you can consider it a bonus rather than part of the regular offering). It seems most of our guests prefer and enjoy our honesty and disclosure but there is always a random one-time guest who will come in and say things like "our last airbnb allowed this or that (like shoes on inside the house or do our laundry)" and then try to blackmail us with trying to give a negative review to which the reply will be "if that is what you want then please go book your last airbnb place and not here." This suite is hotel-like and NOT a full-service hotel which also charges full service prices at several times the cost so please bear this in mind when making your decision. We now also include an in-suite washer and dryer to accommodate the growing number of longer-than-a-week guest stays. Our space is particularly convenient and popular among guests visiting SFU due to its extreme proximity to both the university as well as major living amenities (malls, food, stores) and transportation hubs. Guest access Guests have their own separate stairway and door access on the left (east) side of the building. For people with concerns about walking up or down stairs, there are 13 stairs to reach the suite. Note there is currently no covered garage, gym, pool, or elevator for the suite. There is a free parking spot available for guests with a car.
