Walkerburn traditional stone cottage on the Tweed

A perfectly located base in the Tweed valley, one hour away from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Something for Festival goers, bikers, walkers and fishermen next to the River Tweed , nestled in the Border Hills. Public transport to local cities offer possibilities of a combination stay of city visits and peaceful rural activities. 5 minutes from shops and cafes in Innerleithen and 15 minutes from the lovely Peebles. For mountain bikers there is the famous Glentress centre 10 minutes down the road. The space The end of terrace house has one large en-suite bedroom offering lovely views over the Tweed River and Valley. The house has been recently renovated with an airy lounge/diner, a small modern kitchen and shower room downstairs. The cabin at the back looks on to the newly planted orchard garden. It has a sofa, small table and static rowing machine. It's also the perfect place to practice yoga, especially with the doors open! The front shed offers lockable space for bikes or fishing equipment. There is an outside tap at the back. The double bedroom upstairs offers views over the river and hills. There is a toilet leading off the bedroom. Registered with Scottish Borders Council. Longer term bookings of 1 to 3 months. Guest access Guests can use all spaces. I live in the house for the rest of the year so there are some of my possessions like books and paintings in the house and tools etc in the shed. Other things to note The house is only let out during the summer months and guests are asked not to use the wood burner. Bikes are not allowed in the house.
