Small and colorful

The four-sided farm from 1890 still serves as a farm. Only the street-side house is used for living. Our guest apartments on the upper floor are now intended to create the balancing act between old and new. So we still live downstairs with the same furniture as my great-grandparents. The space We tried to work with the existing stock. Under the cork floor in the kitchen lies the old plank floor. The walls were simply repaired and whitewashed with clay or lime plaster. The colors were mixed with natural pigment. The windows were upgraded with simple glazed summer wings. The 120-year-old inner wings were repaired. My sister and I made the colorful tiles in the kitchen ourselves, with plants from our garden and our names. Almost all of the furniture was already in the house or it was built from local pine and painted with linseed oil. Other things to note The apartment is on the upper floor of our residential building. There is another apartment there. My parents live downstairs. So, you meet each other in the hallway. The door in the bathroom is a sliding door and not soundproof and the shower has a glass panel. That's exactly how we wanted it and I think it's very nice, but it's certainly a bit unusual :) On site there are also 2 bikes that you can rent for 8 euros each during your stay.
