Private island in the archipelago of Västervik

The island Kalklipporna has three charming cottages. The cottages are meticulously renovated and decorated to bring the guests back 100 years in time when the cottages were built. The island is small, and you get the feeling you are living on the water with view of the sea in all directions. There is no running water or electricity. Guests must bring their own bed linen and towels. And clean up before checking out There is a large pier to moor the boat, plunge in the water. The space This rental is for people who are looking for a little bit of an adventure in a unique and a simple living to wind down from the modern world. There is cooking facility through an gas stove in the kitchen. And a gas grill by the outdoor kitchen. Food refrigeration is handled by a traditional root cellar("jordkällare") Fresh drinking water is provided in large water jugs at the house. Light is managed through cozy portable lanterns (battery powered) Powerbank solar cell for charging mobile phones and a petrol powered generator for the vacuum cleaner The toilet is an a small hut separate from the cottages ("Utedass", see picture). The personal hygien is managed by taking a bath in the sea in front of the house. The brackish water has a refreshing feeling, and we believe you will appreciate this down to earth experience. Regular kitchen supplies and silverware is available. The Island is yours for the period booked, you will be alone to live your experience in complete privacy, but of course in case you will need something we will be there to assist you. In the rent is included a boat with a Hond 5ph outboard engine for the 10 minute boat ride to and from the island, see picture in gallery. Your car can be parked on a secure private parking at the host´s premises. Other things to note Guests must bring their own bed linen and towels.
