Come and enjoy a superb view of this free and untamed river, where the history of men (such as the famous Château de la Roche, 10 minutes from the accommodation) mingles with the wild poetry of the landscapes. Located on the banks of the Loire on a plot of Celine, your host Homnest, the refuge has all the amenities in 10 square meters perfectly optimized for an immersion in nature: ✓ AMENITIES ❀: NIGHT AREA * A queen size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) with XL panoramic views of the Loire below * Ceiling fan to cool off (no air conditioning) * Shades * Bed made on arrival * Heating (gas stove) DINING AREA/ LOUNGE * Insulated cooler to store your food in the cool * Sink with water reserve to do dishes, wash hands, etc. * Table, stools * Drinking water via an 8-liter fountain * Utensils, crockery and condiments Note: There is no cooking or heating food in the space. Our guests prioritize meals such as salads and sandwiches or the on-site catering offered by your host SHOWER AREA/ WC * Summer walk-in shower with hot water * Eco-friendly toilet (dry toilet) * Towels and eco-friendly shower gel provided NOTE: the shower is only open during the summer season, from +/- 1 April to +/- 31 October (dates may change according to the weather). When the shower is closed, the sink inside the unit allows you to briefly wash your toilet with gloves, soap, and cold water Current shower status: OPEN BUT ALSO: * Outdoor furniture (except winter period): table, chairs & Chilean (no barbecue) * Housekeeping included * Free parking HEATING: • Thanks to its powerful stove, your refuge becomes a real warm cocoon, even when cold winter temperatures are rife outside. Within minutes, an enveloping heat spreads throughout the lodge. A soft and comforting atmosphere, perfect for a book by the fire or just gazing at the soft orange flames. ❆ FAN (but no air conditioning) • A ceiling fan will give you the feeling of freshness in the bed in the summer. MEALS SIDE: On the catering side, extra charge and by reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then depending on availability after this time), your host Celine offers you local products and delivered to your refuge: * Breakfast (€10 per person) * aperitif boards (tasting formula at €17 and gourmet formula at €30) * bottle of wine (€12) and beer 33cl (€5) ✓ GOOD TO KNOW: The refuge is installed in nature and fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, the heater runs on gas and the running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment! As a result, a few rules are required during your stay: 1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine 2) The risk of fire being very high in nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in and around the shelter, but also to light any flame (no barbecue) 3) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to only use the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap) 4) No pets allowed in the shelter Guest access 𖣔 CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: ✓ Arrival: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: from 6 pm ✓ Arrival: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: from 4 pm ✓ Check-out: before 11 am ✓ Key box available in case of late arrival ✓ You have a free space to park, close to the shelter Other things to note . The refuge is located on a plot of your host Celine, who works in the premises. So you may come across her, as well as her animals (donkeys, etc.) during your stay There's no wifi in the listing The entrance to the refuge is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps.
