Days invite you to slow down and to delight in the wildlife, while evenings are best spent with a glass of wine by the fire as cool air settles in and the stars gather overhead. The space Nestled in the tranquil village of Liston, Rivertree Roost, a property on one acre, offers the perfect balance of modern comfort and natural serenity. This newly built cottage rests among the trees, with a gentle creek winding through the property and native wildlife often close by — from wallabies at dusk to a chorus of birdsong at dawn. Inside, you’ll find two comfortable queen bedrooms, the main bedroom with an ensuite, a fully equipped kitchen, and a welcoming lounge and dining area. The cottage also has a large garage that you enter the property through and is part of the main house, only separated by a sliding glass door. The garage houses the main bathroom with laundry facilities. If you are bringing approved pets, we ask the pets are kept in the garage, where there is a tent-style kennel, mats and bowls, or supervised outside. We do not allow pets inside the main living areas or bedrooms due to past pet destruction or hygiene considerations. Step outside to the pavilion, where a wood-burning fireplace warms the generous outdoor lounge and dining space — perfect for long meals, cool evenings and a glass of wine under the stars. Though just 15 minutes from Stanthorpe, Rivertree Roost feels wonderfully removed — a private sanctuary where you can unwind in nature without giving up life’s little luxuries. Come and experience Rivertree Roost — a place to rest, refresh, and restore. Please note: There is a creek running through the property that is deep in parts. Please be conscious of this before booking. Also, please be aware that if you have had your pet(s) approved to come with you to the property, we have a fenced property, but it is not dog-proof, rather it is rural fencing to allow creek flow and wildlife to cross the property. You will need to be responsible for your pets' safety and for the safety of local wildlife. Guest access You will have access to the entire 2 bedroom home and one-acre property. Self check in/out instructions such as accessing the house, house rules, etc. will be sent to you via AirBnB on the day of arrival before you check-in. Other things to note Fireplace: A sufficient amount of firewood is provided for you to enjoy the fireplace in the outdoor pavilion. If you would like additional firewood, bags are available to purchase for $20. If infants will be staying, please let us know in advance so we can provide a port-a-cot and/or high chair. Unfortunately, we can only guarantee these items if prior notice is given. We welcome furry friends upon application. An indoor kennel and pet bowls are provided; however, guests will need to bring any food and other necessities their pet may require. Please ensure pets are well supervised and do not cause damage to the property or furnishings. If additional cleaning or repairs are required as a result of a pet, Airbnb will be contacted and a deep-cleaning fee of up to $500 may be charged. We have a strict no-smoking policy inside the home. If these house rules are breached and additional cleaning or repairs are required, Airbnb may be contacted and a deep-cleaning fee of up to $500 may apply.
