While it is built at an elevation over 100m above the village's level, it offers breathtaking views to a huge valley, all the way to the sea. Its name, Villa Optasia, (devine vision in Greek), has been inspired by this amazing location. This home is 100% powered by photovoltaic panels on the roof. Entirely off-grid in both energy and water supply, it offers eco-conscious luxury—solar‑powered lighting, fridge, and more, while schemes ensure self‑sufficient water. For the villa's cooling we use Eco‑Friendly Air Coolers, yielding a gentle, fresh breeze much like being near the sea.Their built‑in ionizer helps remove airborne particles, improving indoor air quality. You’ll breathe cool, fresh air all around! An open summer kitchen with BBQ grill and sink invites outdoor feasts. Nearby, a sunken dining and lounge area circles a decorative fire‑pit—perfect for evening conversation under the stars. Our pool is totally private, and can be heated on request. Far from tourism bustle, the villa feels untouched and offers something truly different from the ordinary tourist path. You’ll find yourself among locals in nearby tavernas and shops—authentic Cretan life, not the tourist routes. Guest access Villa Optasia is a totaly private house and it is available only for our guests who book it. It is set up with great attention to detail and comfort to welcome you, our guest. Feel free to explore it and use its facilities as you would in your own place. Our refreshing pool and beautiful sitting area around the pit are there for your own private use.
