"Just by the Reserve" is a private retreat created as part of a large country home. The property is peaceful 🌸 4-acre retreat in beautiful Daruka Valley 13kms from Tamworth. It is surrounded by native trees, and friendly wildlife 🐦. This spacious brick-and-tile home offers fresh country air 💨, endless space, and stunning views of Daruka Mountain. The nearby hills hold rich cultural history — the perfect backdrop to slow down, relax, and unwind . The space On entering the property you will be guided along the drive way where you can view the entire house. There is a sign posted private car park at the end of the driveway. Follow the path past the big pot to the private courtyard and secure entry. Explore🚶‍♀️ the reserve next door 🌳, accessed via main road All our outdoor spaces are peaceful, interrupted only by the beautiful birdsong of our native cockatoos, kookaburras and other birds. Our favourites are the beautiful Grass Parrots and Rosellas that occupy the grasslands year long. Through winter the Black Cockatoos are a sight to see as they feed on the huge pine trees lining the property entrance. During your stay As a host I am mindful that privacy and peace with little interaction from me is your preference. In this case, texts or phone calls are of course very welcomed. I am a local of over 30 years to the district and would be happy to share or direct you to any queries you have. There are smaller towns within a half hour drive from the beautiful vibe of Tamworth. Tamworth is well known for the Country Music Festival which, if you are staying during those dates, will keep you entertained for days! There are country markets most weekends, horse rides, train rides, hikes, walks, parks, did I mention cafes, restaurants? and much more.. Taxi's and Uber's may be expensive if you are wishing to dine and drink. A basket is provided for guests in the sitting area to use as a 'simple' pantry for your own items and treats.
