Old Sam's Cottage

This cottage takes you back in time. Warm water is provided by a "donkey" and a gas freezer and stoveplate will be at your service in the kitchen. An indoor fireplace adds to the charm. The kitchen is well equipped. A herd of eland grazes around. Old Sam's Cottage is about 40km from De Hoop Nature Reserve. The space Old Sam's Cottage is situated in a camp where a herd of 15 eland grazes. The cottage is near the road towards De Hoop Nature Reserve. Old Sam's Cottage is the perfect place to get in touch with yourself again. The cottage takes you back in time. There is no electricity, but a donkey-geezer for warm water, small portable solar lights and a gas fridge/freezer and gas stove. Guests love the beautiful setting. Guest access Guests can explore the farm by bicycle. They can also fish fresh water fish in the Karsriver. Other things to note Guests must bare in mind that this cottage has no electricity. Lighting are provided by rechargeble lamps, warm water by a "donkey" and the fridge/freezer operates by gas.
