Quercy Blanc Region Unlike many rural French villages that close outside the busy summer months, our area benefits from being a year-round destination with amenities throughout all seasons. This makes it ideal to visit anytime–a hidden gem, offering peaceful charm and without overbearing crowds. The Quercy Blanc region, including Montaigu-de-Quercy, is often considered to have a slightly drier and sunnier climate, benefiting from a reputed micro-climate that provides more sunshine and less rain and humidity compared to surrounding areas, including much of the Dordogne. This difference means the Quercy Blanc region can feel more pleasant, especially during the colder seasons, making it a particularly attractive place to explore and relax year-round. Guest access The hosts will greet you on arrival and show you around, then will keep themselves to themselves, unless you need them. Booking La Grande Rossignol as a five bedroom house means you get the swimming pool all to yourself. You also have a private gated entrance with parking for several cars. The barn and adjacent cottage are out of bounds. Other things to note Bookings The principal hirer must be over 21 years old at the time of Booking and is responsible for all members of the group, ensuring compliance with the terms and for the responsible use of the property and its contents. Pets are not permitted on the Property. Occupancy & Conduct For the benefit of future guests and owners, you (and all group members) undertake the following: Not to exceed the occupancy stated in your Booking Confirmation. To show due consideration for other parties, refraining from abuse of the Property and/or any dangerous, offensive, or rude behaviour toward owners, neighbours or representatives. To permit owner/representative access at reasonable times for reasonable purposes. Breaching occupancy, conduct, or usage rules may result in refusal of access or termination of your stay. Bed Linen & Towels Bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, bath/hand/kitchen towels, bath mats, and swimming towels are provided. If the baby's cot is requested, mattress, mattress protector and a sheet are provided; however, bedding (pillow and cover) are not supplied for safety and legal reasons. Please report all damage immediately, regardless of cause or size. Cleaning & Rubbish The Property must be left by guests in the same state of cleanliness as at arrival, including all outdoor areas and barbecue facilities. All rubbish, waste, and recycling must be removed at end of your stay; local facilities are available in Belvèze. Swimming Pool The pool is provided for guest enjoyment and must be used safely and respectfully. Safety: Children must be supervised at all times. The principal guest is responsible for all guests regarding pool safety. Pool Rules: No glass or ceramic items at the poolside Only swimming towels at the pool (not household towels) No running or rough play Pool technical room/outdoor controls are off-limits Insects and wildlife may appear, nets are provided for cleaning. Smoking Policy Smoking is prohibited inside the property. Smoking is allowed in the garden/outside areas; all cigarette ends must be disposed of responsibly. Ashtrays are available. Electrical Appliances Report any broken appliances immediately for repair or replacement; no compensation will be offered for temporary breakages. Electric Vehicles There is no EV charging facility onsite. Charging EVs is strictly forbidden; abuse will result in contract termination and/or additional fees. Use of appliances, equipment, and swimming pool is at guests’ risk. Force Majeure We accept no liability where obligations cannot be met due to force majeure events outside our control (e.g. war, natural disaster, epidemics, severe weather, industrial disputes, network outages). Local Conditions The Property is in a rural location; guests may encounter local wildlife, which occasionally may enter the house, especially in certain conditions.
