Nestled in a quiet, leafy pocket, this eco-friendly beach house & cottage invite calm, connection & coastal living in harmony with nature. With natural textures, low-tox finishes, edible gardens & sea breezes, every detail supports wellbeing & sustainability. The house features 4 bedrooms (sleeping 10), open-plan living, sunny alfresco dining, an indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit & easy beach access. The space Tucked between Mornington and Mount Martha, our eco-friendly beach house and cottage offer a calm coastal escape designed to nurture both people and planet. This sanctuary invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what matters. Every detail — from natural textures and low-tox finishes to open, sunlit spaces — has been consciously chosen to support wellbeing and sustainable living. You’ll notice thoughtful, eco-conscious touches throughout: plant-based cleaning products, ethically sourced furniture, rainwater tanks, and edible gardens that mirror the rhythm of the seasons. Gentle sea breezes drift through airy spaces filled with natural light — a home designed to breathe with you. In the warmer months, Saltwood feels light, bright, and sun-filled, with coastal breezes flowing through the home and spaces that invite you to slow down and soak up the season. In winter, the home transforms into a warm and cosy retreat, where the beautiful double-sided fireplace connects the dining and lounge areas, and an outdoor fire pit under the stars creates the perfect setting for crisp evenings, deep conversations, and quiet moments of reflection. More than a stay, this is a space with soul — created for rest, reconnection, and the simple pleasure of coastal life in harmony with nature. The Space The main home comfortably accommodates up to 7 guests, with the option to expand your stay to include the separate cottage, sleeping up to 3 additional guests (available for a small additional fee). Sleeping arrangements: • Master Bedroom: Queen bed, ensuite, and walk-in robe (sleeps 2) • Bedroom 2: Bunk beds (sleeps 3) • Bedroom 3: Queen bed (sleeps 2) • Optional Cottage (Bedroom 4): Double bed and pull-out king single couch (sleeps up to 3 extra guests), this is a separate lockable space next to the main house. Eco-conscious features include: • Plant-based, non-toxic cleaning products • Natural linens and cotton materials • Wooden, bamboo, and stainless steel kitchenware • Furniture made from natural materials, consciously void of synthetics where possible • Natural light and ventilation that enhance air purity • Consciously planted gardens that support local fauna and syntropic growth • Outdoor spaces with fruit and veggie gardens, rainwater tank, sustainable furnishings, and fire pit Guest Access Guests have full access to the main house and double garage. Guests booking the optional cottage will receive exclusive access to that space also. Some wardrobes remain locked for personal storage. Other Things to Note Linen: All bed linen and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels). House Rules: • Smoking: Strictly non-smoking inside the home. • Parties: No parties or events (including hens, bucks, or schoolies). • Cleaning & Checkout: To help us uphold our low-tox, eco-friendly ethos, we ask guests to: o Wash and put away all dishes o Clean the BBQ if used o Empty indoor bins into outdoor bins o Leave the oven and fridge clean and empty o Notify us of any damage or breakages Thank you for helping us care for this home — and the environment it’s part of. Your stay helps sustain a space designed for conscious connection, rest, and regeneration. Guest access Guests have full access to the main house and double garage. Guests booking the optional cottage will receive exclusive access to that space also. Some wardrobes remain locked for personal storage. Other things to note Guests who choose to book the additional cottage (sleeps up to 3 extra guests) will be required to pay an additional $75 per night.
