Renovated 360 m² country house with pool, fireplace, loft and 3,000 m² garden – quietly located on the outskirts of the village and yet only 30 minutes from Leipzig. Space for up to 8 guests. Outside by the pool in summer, by the fireplace in winter: a place to arrive and stay, not a run-of-the-mill vacation home. Rurally located between Leipzig, Dresden and Weimar, with no through traffic. The space In the morning, light streams through the large windows, and it is quiet outside. In the evening, the fireplace is lit, and the house slowly becomes quiet. The building stands on the grounds of a former Rittwergut estate and has been expanded with time, care and respect for the structure into a spacious temporary home. You can still feel what it once was – and enjoy what it is today: space, quiet and a special atmosphere. In around 360 m² of living space, you will find room for living together as well as for retreating. Living: • Ground floor: Entrance area with wardrobe and shoe cabinet, guest toilet, modern kitchen with dining area, bedroom 1 (double bed, large built-in closet, baby bed) and a bathroom with shower. • Upper floor: two more bedrooms – bedroom 2 with a double bed, bedroom 3 with two single beds (2.00 × 0.90 m) – as well as a cozy bathroom with a tub. Living – Barn/loft The newly interpreted barn with a glass-framed gable and large dormer windows impresses with its open floor plan and cozy fireplace: a spacious living and dining area, an open sleeping area in the loft (sleeping alcove, Bd 4 with a double bed) and a private shower room on the lower level. Garden Around 3,000 m² of outdoor space: well-maintained garden with swimming pool (only in summer), sun terrace, fire pit and play area for children in summer. Carport for two vehicles with electric car charging facility. Campfires in the garden, summer evenings by the pool, winter evenings by the fireplace – the house works all year round. At the same time, shopping facilities and destinations in the region are easily accessible. Overall, the location is very quiet; occasional noises from the surrounding area (e.g., agriculture or a railway line running in the distance). Guest access • When booking, of course, all indoor and outdoor areas are completely at your disposal or depending on the season. If you have any questions, we are happy to help. Safety: The pool is not secured by a gate or similar, and there are bodies of water in the area. Please supervise children in the outdoor area accordingly. Other things to note Location & Surroundings: Our country house is quiet and idyllically located in the Leipzig countryside (Geithain) – but in close proximity to the cities of Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz. You benefit from a quick connection to Central Germany's exciting cultural regions, rich history and numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites. Central excursion destinations: • Leipzig (30 min): Music city with Thomaskirche (creek), Nikolaikirche, Zoo, Panometer, Plagwitz & cotton spinning mill • Dresden (1 hour): Baroque old town, Semperoper, Frauenkirche, Elbufer • Weimar & Erfurt (1-1.5 hours): Bauhaus, Goethehaus, cathedral, old town • Berlin (2.5 hours) & Potsdam (2 hours): Perfect for day trips full of culture & history Public: Bus directly on site, Geithain train station only 5 min. by bus/ car or 15 min. walk – from there direct S-Bahn, regional trains to Leipzig, Chemnitz, Zwickau.
