Nearby, you can also find Lake Scandarello and Lake Campotosto, where you can fish, picnic and walk, enjoy ham and typical cheeses. In the village "Lo Squiattolo", you can relax in the pool. Less than 10km away, Amatrice's Giant Bench, overlooking the mountains. The hamlet of Poggio Castellano (also called Collemagrone) is located within the Parco dei Monti della Laga and is a great base for many walks and hikes in nature. In summer and spring, outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, hiking, and nature tours are very suitable. The accommodation, surrounded by nature and tranquility, with its location, allows you to easily reach some trekking areas (such as Pizzo di Sevo and Cima Lepri), visit the Boat Waterfall and taste the Amatriciana in one of the local restaurants. In August, don't miss the Sagra degli Spaghetti all'Amatriciana, which traditionally takes place at the end of summer, usually on the last weekend of August. The air is clear and the humidity is low, a cure for those looking for relief from summer heat and/or urban pollution. The wide horizons offer spectacular views of the Laga Mountains. Despite its small size, the cottage is spread across three open-plan levels: 1️⃣ On the ground floor, there is the dining room with a kitchen and a full-size sofa bed. The living room has a refrigerator, a television, and a fireplace. 2️⃣ On the second floor, you will find the bedroom, with a classic double bed, and a bathroom with a shower and bidet. 3️⃣ Finally, on the mezzanine, which is accessed via a wooden staircase, visible in the photo, there is another double bed. Due to the ceiling height, the foam mattress is on the floor.
