An historic converted barn, Lovejoy Lodge is the perfect base to explore the Bedfordshire countryside with easy access to London & Cambridge and a short drive to Wrest Park, Shuttleworth, Woburn Abbey, Bletchley Park and upcoming Universal Studios. See the Greensand Country video for more info. The space Lovejoy Lodge is a two-bedroomed barn conversion, with one bedroom on the ground floor with a king size four-poster bed. There are two bathrooms, both on the ground floor. There are two steps down from the front door into the hallway and also another step along the hallway so the property is not suitable for wheelchair use. There is a mezzanine above the lounge but this is not available to guests. There is a separate kitchen, lounge and conservatory which has the dining table. There is also small garden with room for a patio table and four chairs. There is off-road parking directly in front of the barn for one car and a second car by arrangement. Location: Only a 10-minute drive to the new Universal Studios site. Situated on the Greensand Ridge with an extensive network of public footpaths and walking trails. 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive to the picturesque and historic Georgian market town of Ampthill, offering a wealth of high-end cafés, restaurants, independent shops, an impressive 3-story antiques emporium, Waitrose, and the beautiful Ampthill Great Park spanning 160 acres filled with scenic walking trails, tennis courts, and a lovely café. Only a 15-minute drive to the picturesque town of Woburn, 5-minute minute drive to Center Parcs, and a 20-minute drive to Milton Keynes for more extensive retail shopping, cinema and activities. Local attractions include Woburn Safari Park, Shuttleworth Collection and Gardens, Bletchley Park, and Wrest Park. You’re only a 10-minute drive to Flitwick Train Station with direct Thameslink rail service to St Albans, London St Pancras and Brighton. Trains run every 20 minutes.
