The Moulin de la Hire

Welcome to Moulin de la Hire! We are pleased to host you, at the farm (market gardening), in our old flour mill recently renovated by us. Each room of the mill is unique. You will discover the mechanisms and machines of the time spread over the three floors of the accommodation. Quietly located in a green setting a few steps from a small river. This unusual accommodation is close to Lac des Fades (10 min drive) and Vulcania (30 min drive). The space The property consists of: - a fully equipped kitchen open to a living room and a dining area composed of a large table, sofa and bench seat. - a 1st bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200) and a single bed (90 x 200). - a second bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200) and a single bed (90 x 200). - a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a toilet. - a private outdoor deck. Remember to bring your bed linens (sleeping bags/duvets are not allowed). It is possible to rent bath towels and bed linen on request (€9/bed and €3/towel extra). When you leave, please leave the accommodation in the same condition as when you arrived, if you do not wish to clean , it is possible to take the cleaning fee at 50 euros. If necessary, access to our washing machine is possible at no additional cost. The bedrooms are equipped with storage furniture for your belongings. The mill is located in an Auvergnate farmhouse, it is separated from our dwelling house by a workshop, your entrance is totally independent. Your terrace has no opposite. Only the large exterior (meadow and river) is common. The property is located on the riverside and on the edge of the forest, ideal for walks. Pets are allowed, if they are sociable with their peers, there is a dog and a cat on the property. Guest access Parking is 50 m from the accommodation. Other things to note On the property you will also find the organic market farm of Léa: "Le jardin de Miremont" (depending on the season, visit and vegetable baskets available on request). All amenities (restaurants, supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, organic grocery, health house, bank, local market...) in Pontaumur, a 10-minute drive from the Moulin. In Miremont itself (5min drive), bar/restaurant, grocery store and bread depot. Puy de Dôme 50 min and Massif du Sancy 1 hr drive. Clermont-Ferrand at 50 min, Lyon at 2h30 and Paris at 3h40 by road.
