Welcome to our charming cottage in beautiful Roslagen. Here you can experience everything that the countryside has to offer only 1 hour from Stockholm City, 20 minutes from Arlanda and 30 minutes from Uppsala and Norrtälje. ——————— Welcome to our classic Swedish countryside house in the heart of beautiful Roslagen. Here you can enjoy everything that the countryside has to offer while you are only 1 hour away from Stockholm City, 20 min from Arlanda airport and 30 min from the charming seaside town Norrtälje. The space PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION :) The cottage is more than 100 years old and has previously been used as a guest house. It is in need of some renovations, so if you choose to rent the cottage, you will help us save it and preserve it for the future, as we will use the income to restore it to its former glory. The chimney has been renovated and now the old wood stove in the kitchen can be used for heating, it is extra cozy to put in some wood on a chilly autumn or winter morning and boil water for tea on the old stove as you did in the past. The kitchen is of simple standard and has a small stove as well as a microwave. The upper floor is not in use yet as it is not furnished/insulated. The cottage is equipped with what you might need for a comfortable and safe stay but remember that it is not in perfect shape yet, it shows traces of the ravages of time. Be advised that the ceiling height in the kitchen and living room is about 1.9 m The cabin is located on a private part of our property without view from our house. The Jacuzzi is at the far end of the porch outside our house, the only window near the Jacuzzi from our house is to a guest room that we do not use and we have curtains drawn anyway so that you can swim in privacy. If you wish to use our charcoal grill, just say so and we will place it outside the cabin. The cabin is about 200 meters from the nearest bus station so it is possible to get around by bus. This station is located on Highway 77, so note that the traffic from the road can be heard on the property. ——————— PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION :) The house is over 100 years old and has recently been used as a guesthouse. It is in need of some repair and if you choose to rent the house you will help us save it since we will use the income to make the much needed renovations. The chimney is now renovated and the old stove can be used once more for heating and cooking with firewood like in the old days. It's extra nice to start up the stove with some logs on a chilly autumn/winter morning. Only the downstairs of the house is in use as the attic is not yet renovated. The house is equipped for a safe and comfortable stay but please note that it is not in perfect shape yet, it shows some wear from the years that have passed. In the kitchen and living room the ceiling height is around 1.9 m. The kitchen is of a simple/basic standard and has a mini stove + a microwave for cooking. The house is located in a private part of our garden and you are free to use it as you wish. The Jacuzzi is located on the veranda outside our house and you can use it whenever you like. The only room with a view to the jacuzzi is a guest room that we don't use, so you can bathe privately. If you want to barbecue, this is also possible, let me know and I'll bring it to the house. Just bring coal and lighter fluid. The house is conveniently located only 200 m from the nearest bus stop, but this also means that you can hear the traffic from the road and the road is quite busy from time to time. Guest access You have full access to the cabin (the downstairs as the upstairs is not in use) as well as the garden around, the lilac grove and the piece of forest to the left of the cabin that belongs to us. You are most welcome to use the Jacuzzi whenever you like. You have full use of the downstairs of the house since the upstairs is not in use. You also have free use of the garden in front of the house and the forest to the left of the house, as it is part of our garden. You can use the jacuzzi whenever you want.
