Villa Mema is situated on a hillside of the harbour of Agia Efimia, a colourful yachting harbour with numerous little flint bays with crystal clear water, little shops, friendly taverns, cafes and bars. The secluded and elevated position of the property makes the villa to a truly magical place for your holidays. Breathtaking views from every corner of the house across the bay of Agia Efimia, the Ionian Sea and the neighbour-island of Ithaca. Just a breath away from the centre of the village and all its entertainment facilities but still a peaceful and tranquil location offering a lot of privacy. All amenities (shops, restaurants, cafés, beaches) are within easy walking distance (5-10) min from the villa. No car rental is necessary except for exploring the island. The Villa (110m²) is built in accordance to the island's architecture. It is well equipped and tastefully furnished with selected traditional furnishings of highest standard and comfort. No surprise that the film star Penelope Cruz chose this place to stay during the filming of 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin'. Outside, there are two large front terraces offering privacy and stunning views to the harbour of Agia Efimia and the sea. The pool terrace is equipped with 4 relaxing sun beds. Pool and front terraces are surrounded by different patios with shaded relaxing areas and decorated with a variety of lovely Mediterranean flowers such as oleanders, hibiscus, jasmines, roses. The villa is arranged over 2 levels. On the ground floor, there is a well-designed spacious living room with air-conditioning, open-plan dining kitchen and a bathroom with shower/wc. A staircase leads to the upper floor: here are 2 bedrooms (one with double bed and one with twins), with air-conditioning, balconies with superb views over the bay of Agia Efimia and a bathroom with a small bathtub and wc. The windows and balcony doors of the bedrooms are equipped with sliding mosquito/fly screens. A safe, a baby bed and high chair, pool towels, a charcoal BBQ, as well as wi-fi internet access are also provided and free of charge.
