Hidden amongst mature trees and south-facing gardens, it’s the kind of place you retreat to and never want to leave. The space The Hideaway is a striking alpine-style lodge with bold architecture and subtle mid-century character. Wrapped in mature trees and private, sun-soaked gardens, it’s a peaceful, tucked-away spot that feels worlds apart. Step inside and you’ll find a bright, handmade kitchen kitted out with all the modern essentials, leading through to a spacious lounge and dining area. A huge picture window takes centre stage here, framing wide-open views towards the lake and fells beyond, perfect for watching the weather roll in or the morning light drift across the water. Sleeping up to six, the house has three bedrooms: a super king with ensuite shower room, a king size, and a twin. There's also a large family bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin, and WC. Quiet, private, and packed with personality, The Hideaway is a one-off, a laid-back base for exploring Ullswater and the quieter northern reaches of the Lakes. Guest access Entrance & Ground Floor: Enter up a flight of stone steps into a welcoming hallway with space for coats and shoes – once inside all of the rooms are on this level. Open-plan kitchen and dining area, thoughtfully designed with modern appliances and a spacious dining table, perfect for shared meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is the main living area, featuring a comfortable sofa, armchairs, and large windows inviting natural light and stunning views towards Lake Ullswater and the fells beyond. Master Bedroom: Located on the ground floor, the master bedroom boasts a super king-size bed. The ensuite includes a walk-in shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail, creating the ultimate space for relaxation. Second Bedroom: Also on the ground floor, the second bedroom features a king-size bed. Third Bedroom: Also on the ground floor, the third bedroom features two single beds. Family Bathroom: Situated in between the king size and twin bedroom and servicing these two rooms – the bathroom offers a bath, separate walk-in shower, sink, WC and heated towel rail. Outdoor Space: The hideaway has a large balcony off the living space with furniture to enjoy the views and a there is also a woodland type garden with a small patio area below. The outdoor spaces provide a private and peaceful spot to enjoy the natural surroundings and soak up the Lake District’s beauty. Parking: Parking is available directly next to the property for 2 cars (this may require you to reverse out of the driveway as limited turning space).
