Located on a quiet hill along the coast of Hamada City, Shimane Prefecture, Sunset Hills is an American Colonial-style Western-style building built by a renowned architect. It is designed to enjoy the view, and all rooms have ocean views. The first floor is the host's room and music room, and a couple and a cat live there. In the music room, you can play the grand piano or enjoy playing ping-pong. There are two guest rooms on the second floor, divided into east and west sides. On the east side is a suite room with a balcony with a roof and window called a lanai. The suite room is 34 square meters and is fully equipped for long stays. The sunset seen from the large floor to ceiling windows is picturesque, and when the orange sun sets, the evening darkness approaches and the fishing lights shine mysteriously. It is a room where you can enjoy a magnificent view. The west side is a romantic double room. The double room is 22 square meters and has a double bed with a canopy and a luxurious chandelier. From the room, you can see Hamada's famous peak, Mt. Oma and the sea. Head out to the balcony for a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan. Forget about your daily routine and have a luxurious time in Sunset Hills. The space This is a spacious bedroom with a semicircular balcony. When you open the door, there is a large window in front of you, and the view of Mt. Oma rising beside the sea and the Sea of Japan spreads out before you. If you push open the interior window behind the sofa, you can see the grand piano downstairs. There is another window across the atrium, from which you can also see the Sea of Japan. In the center of the room is a double bed with a large headboard and chiffon curtains that resemble a canopy. The room has a luxurious and romantic interior. If booked for 3 people, we will provide an extra single bed. There are also amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, coffee cups, and plates, so you can relax and take your time. A garden table and chairs can be set up on the balcony. From the balcony, you can see the huge sculptures by renowned sculptors and the statue of Kannon in the park right next door, the coconut trees in the garden, and a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan. The entire building and premises are non-smoking. Smoking is strictly prohibited. There is no kitchenette in this room, so you cannot wash dishes, vegetables, etc. Please let us know if you would like to replace the coffee cup you have used. Guest access There are two rooms in Sunset Hills. Enter from the front door, use the stairs to go up to the second floor, and there is a Lana Suite on the east side and a Balcony Double room on the west side. Please do not enter the rooms you have not booked. The first floor has a music room and the host's room. Please do not enter the host's room. We will guide you in person on the first day, but guests who stay for 2 nights or more will be given a smart lock key. We speak English. Other things to note We kindly ask that you refrain from booking if you are allergic to cats, as we have a cat. Please refrain from making loud noises late at night as it is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. No smoking inside the house or on the premises. There is little public transportation, so we recommend traveling by car, but if you use public transportation, it is 2 km from JR Shikama Station.
