The space Welcome to Stanley's Rest, a beautifully refurbished lodge in the heart of the Peak District, sleeping up to 9 guests across two flexible bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features five cosy cabin-style bunk beds, while Bedroom 2 can be arranged to suit your group. By default, it is set up with four single beds, but can also be configured with one double bed and two singles upon request. Please let us know before your stay if you would prefer the double bed arrangement. The lodge offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including a spacious lounge with TV, dining area, large fully equipped kitchen, two shower rooms, and two toilets. Outside, you'll find a private patio area complete with a hot tub – the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding countryside. Stanley's Rest is located in the picturesque hamlet of Upper Hulme, nestled at the foot of The Roaches within the Peak District National Park. Surrounded by breath taking scenery, the area is renowned for its walking, climbing, and outdoor adventures, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Just a five-minute walk away is the popular Ye Olde Rock Inn, serving excellent food and drinks in a welcoming setting. The surrounding area is home to numerous traditional country pubs, while the nearby market town of Leek offers independent shops, regular markets, cafés, and a thriving live music scene. There is no shortage of activities to enjoy during your stay. Stanley's Rest is one of two lodges on site, alongside Peak Lodge. The two properties can be booked separately or together and are connected by an interlinking tunnel, creating one large accommodation space that can sleep up to 34 guests across seven bedrooms. We are happy to accommodate hen parties (No stag dos) and birthday celebrations. However, to ensure the comfort of all guests, these groups are required to book both lodges exclusively.
