Towels provided Pets not allowed Breakfast €8 to be booked The space Built in the 17th century, this remarkable residence was once one of the houses of notables on the prestigious Rue Saint-Pierre, a historic axis lined with elegant homes and old mansions. Upon arrival, you will be captivated by the beauty of its monumental listed door: fluted Doric pilasters frame a pediment adorned with a sculpture of fruit and a diamond tip, a symbol of refinement and classic heritage. Past the basket-handle arch, you will discover a vaulted vestibule leading to a spiral staircase, housed in a square tower, a majestic vestige of the time. At the Vieux Colombier, you will enjoy the unique character of a listed residence, with all the comforts of a contemporary interior. All in a lively and historic area, just steps from the Church of Saint-Jean, a contemporary art gallery, the Abbey and the Museum of Popular Beliefs. You will find L'Atelier du vin on site to taste tasty dishes concocted by David as well as the Chèvre et Chou restaurant where Cindy will introduce you to local cuisine based on quality local products. Supermarket, post office, pharmacy, doctor's office, butcher shop within walking distance. Please note!!! The bedroom is on the second floor of the spiral staircase and access can be difficult for people with reduced mobility (as well as access to the garden which requires climbing a few steps.) The handrail will be installed shortly. The private bathroom is not in the bedroom but two steps above, in the spiral staircase. Due to the architecture, there is no sink in the room but just a fridge, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and microwave. The bed is made on arrival. Towels provided Pets not allowed Breakfast available €8 per person Guest access Christelle, a literature teacher, and her children Oscar and Capucine, law students, will welcome you to their home and will be able to show you the dovecote and the magnificent semicircular vault located at the top of the tower. Possibility to arrive late because we have a key box.
