The Log Chalet at Clarendon Stud

A spacious log cabin newly refurbished in July 25 & set looking up at the stunning Clarendon Stud Valley. This tranquil spot is a haven for wildlife so bring your binoculars & watch the birds, dear, hares and many other wildlife in their natural environment. See the mares & foals are around too! Curl up & relax on the sofa/decking & read a good book. Play in the back garden cricket or rounders with the kids! Go walking in the ancient woods, or down to the unique chalk river in Teffont. The space The Clarendon Chalet is a delightful spacious but cosy country holiday retreat, positioned at the bottom of the secluded valley of Clarendon Stud in an area of natural beauty and dark skies. With the most phenomenal view up the valley it is at one with nature, it is surrounded by Wildlife that you can watch through the windows from horses, foals, deer, boxing hares, sheep and hawks! All plus more regularly seen on the property Nestled just above the quintessential English thatched Village of Teffont Magna, Wiltshire with its chalk stream, one of only 200 in the world, weeping willows and climbing roses, honeysuckle and much more classic Englishness. Its clear to see why this village is referred to as the most beautiful in Wiltshire! with off road parking for cars this family and pet friendly haven for families seeking an escape back to nature with the country side surroundings. The log cabin chalet has a lovely spacious living dinning area with well equipped kitchen and big family dinning table and 2 comfy sofas and big TV plus a desk for any emergency work. Since 3Jan 2026 we have WiFi!! It also has a front door at the side which goes in to a utility room ideal for all the muddy walking boots or dirty dogs to get rid of the mess before entering the house! There is a washing machine in the Utility room too! There are 3 bedrooms all with build in wardrobes a roomy master bedroom with kingsized bed and a small double room and a single room. There is presently 3 beds for 5 adults but we are considering the double been swapped for 2 singles and the single bed to potentially be bunk bed or a pull out under bed, watch this space. However at the moment If an extra kid or cot is needed this is possible to fit in. The property is in a fantstic location not only for been close to nature Acient woods and animals and fabulous walks, but also many fabulous pubs the Black Dog and Compass are good walks away 45 min to an 1.25 hours and then many local famous attractions! There is STonehenge a few miles down the road, as the area is one of the oldest in habitated places in Britain. Their is longleat safari amazing whether you are a kid or adult! and then the list is endless depending what you like! There is the tank museum one of the biggest in the world. The beach is only an hour the amazing New Forest is only 40 min, There is southampton docks Mary Rose! there is Bath and Bristol both esquisited and much to do too. There is even Peppa Pig world for the younger charancter! Guest access The chalet has its own garden which is not presently fenced in fully There is also a walk all the way up the Gallop track and right up to the top of the 50 acres and into the woods that’s great for dogs and kids. Please pick up dog poo and don’t leave poo bags around it’s dangerous for animals 🙏 The buildings with the animals in if you would like to see the horses or animals do let us know and we can show you around as it is a working farm. You are welcome to see all the horses in the fields, but please don’t feed them . Other things to note We have a dog that is on the Farm off the lead for two hours a.m. and p.m. and can’t be contained by GATES so if you bring your dog, it needs to be sociable or in the chalet at these times. All dogs need to be kept on the lead for the safety of the animals such as the horses of the customers that we have here. The pool that is part of the main family house about a 5 min walk across the yard a few 100m away from the chalet , is available weather/maintenance depending between Spring (May) and end of summer (Aug-Sept) it then gets closed for the winter months. It is lightly heated during the summer months if viable. It is a private pool you can use it at your own risk and just book with Chris and Lucy when you want to use it. It is used by the main house the chalet and the Annex and staff on the yard so we will let you know if its free to use it. You can book for sn hour.
