The space The house on Skåltofta - at Nyksund Welcome to our new house by the sea nestled in the mountains of Nyksund. This unique property is situated on the outskirts of the famous fishing village Nyksund, in the district of Vesterålen. It is also close to the open ocean with Greenland being the nearest land directly to the West. We offer four bedrooms with comfortable beds, two beautiful bathrooms and stunning views from all rooms in the house. The house is ideal for those who want that little bit extra and we promise that your stay will be an experience you will remember fondly for many years to come. When not enjoying the many activities by the sea, guests have the option of hiking in the majestic mountains, visiting a gallery or just relaxing at a quaint café or restaurant (closed in vinter) in Nyksund. An added bonus sought by many visitors to this part of the world is a view of the northern lights and midnight sun which can be experienced from the house. The house offers something for everyone during all seasons of the year. In the winter, you can sit in the living room watching fishermen out at sea. During the summer, the sun and the sea create new images throughout the day. The springtime offers a rich birdlife and the autumn is alive with spectacular colors. Herfra kan du nyte den spektakulære utsikten og det rike dyrelivet gjennom hele året, i all slags vær. Midnattssolen, høst og vinter med voldsomme stormer, nordlys, skreifisket, samt et usedvanlig rikt dyre og fugleliv, med bl.a. hval, sel og ørn. Du får nye bilder hele tiden.
