Charming cottage in the countryside

Welcome to our charming cottage from 1909 – a quiet oasis with no close neighbors. Enjoy the large garden with fruit trees, barbecue, outdoor furniture and trampoline. 15-minute walk to a beautiful limestone quarry for swimming and 5 minutes by car to Kumla Golf Club. WiFi, TV with Netflix, air-source heat pumps, wood stove, and fireplace are available. Amenities such as toilet, shower and washing machine and drinking water from our own well. PLEASE NOTE that the ceiling height is about 185 cm in parts of the house! The space Our charming cottage has two floors. For families with children, there is a large trampoline, swing, hammocks, soccer, children's games, boules, and badminton – perfect for lazy summer days. Bedroom The cottage has two bedrooms and a hall between the rooms with a comfortable sofa bed. Here, there is a bed 120×200 cm wide, a double bed 180×200 cm, and a sofa bed 140 cm with a comfortable mattress topper. Guests will bring their own bed sheets, duvet covers and towels. Surroundings Here you live in a quiet environment close to nature, surrounded by meadows and forest. The large garden of 4,300 sq meters offers apple, pear and plum trees, as well as raspberries, currants and gooseberries. Two different beautiful limestone quarries for swimming are only a 15-minute walk away, and right outside the house is a historic rune stone. The house is located next to a gravel road with very little local traffic. Need to Know: The water comes from its own well and is drinkable. New water filters were installed in 2025. Since the cottage has its own well, we ask you to be economical with water consumption. By using the water carefully, you help ensure that there is plenty of water throughout your stay. For the best comfort, the cottage is equipped with an air heat pump with both heating and A/C. The temperature is controlled by us remotely. Just let us know if you want it a little warmer or cooler, and we'll arrange it. ● Swimming areas nearby Just 3 minutes by car from the cottage is "Hästhagsbrottet" – a popular and child-friendly swimming area with a slide, a large grassy area for playing and picnics, a playground, and restrooms. For those looking for a more natural swimming experience, "Skogsbrottet" is also only about a 15-minute walk from the cottage. The swimming area is deep right from the edge and is therefore better suited for swimmers than for smaller children. Hästhagsbrottet and Skogsbrottet are within walking distance of each other, about 3 minutes. But the trails can be a bit difficult to find the first time. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and the large garden during their stay. Only the green closet in the hallway is private and is used for our personal belongings. Other things to note Guests will bring their own bed sheets, duvet covers and towels. We do the final cleaning, but we want you to wash your dishes and throw the trash in the containers outside before you go home. Since the house has its own well, we ask you to use the water with care. The cabin is from 1909 and has retained its original feel. In some places, the ceiling height is about 185 cm, and some doorways are also low. Therefore, pay extra attention when passing through the doorways so you don't hit your head.
