It is an old house built 150 years ago in Kisokoma Kogen, in the middle of Nakasendo Road. This is a room with a bunk bed. We created the room with the image of an exciting, adventurous space like a mountain cabin. Please feel free to use it for families, groups, and training camps. This building was once a youth hostel. Our family has taken over the management of this building in 2024 and is undergoing a DIY renovation as a place where you can easily stay. At night you can hear frogs and bugs, deer chirping in the distance, and birds in the mornings in the bustling mountains. There is no air conditioning because the summer night breeze can only be spent with a fan around 20 degrees Celsius. In the winter, there are days when it gets to freezing 15 degrees Celsius, and there are occasional days where diamond dust can be seen.There is a large wood stove in a shared space and an oil fan heater is provided in the room.It is a typical Japanese heating facility. It is a no meal stay. Feel free to cook in the shared kitchen where everyone gathers.It is fully equipped with cookware and tableware. It takes 25 minutes by bus from Kiso Fukushima Station and 3 minutes on foot from Ohara Kamikami bus stop. We will welcome you as a family with our children aged 7 and 4 ☺ The space This is a room with a bunk bed that sleeps 5 people. It can accommodate up to 5 people. The room is located at the top of the stairs and has a four-seater sofa corner and a small laundry room, making it easy for multiple people to stay while maintaining privacy. There is a dehumidifier in the laundry room, and clothes will dry overnight. Please enjoy a relaxing stay as a base for sightseeing in the surrounding area, including the Nakasendo Trail, Takayama, and Kamikochi. Kiso-Fukushima is a 15-minute drive, Narai-juku is a 25-minute drive, and Tsumago-juku is an hour's drive. Matsumoto City is an hour and a half by car, Shiojiri City is an hour by car, and Ina City is just under 40 minutes away. We welcome guests in both share-home and homestay styles. Let's have a good time like family during your stay! Long stays are also very welcome! Guest access You can use the shared living room with a wood stove, the shared kitchen, the baths (there are 2), the toilets (there are 3), and the washbasin. Everything except the room is shared, but there is space to relax. During your stay Generally, one of us, the hosts, will be at home. Please let us know if you need anything. The shared living room is also a playground for the children. It's noisy when they're awake, but I'd be happy if you could play with them ☺ Other things to note We have a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, and they sometimes play in the shared living room.It can be noisy, but we would appreciate it if you could play with us. As a general rule, check-in is after 5 pm and check-out is by 10 am. Please consult with us in advance for early check-in or late check-out.There will be an additional fee of 3,000 yen for each.
