Welcome to Mares House Private Apartment with Pool – Mediterranean Tranquility in the Heart of Velebit. In the historic town of Karlobag, where the mountains meet the sea in the peaceful embrace of nature, you’ll find our House – a place many guests have called their temporary home, and some, their true summer oasis. Renovated in 2025, this charming property is just steps away from the Adriatic coastline. Only a few minutes’ walk separates you from the sea, and the town center. The space The house has been thoughtfully designed, blending elegance and charm with natural materials and tones inspired by the local landscape. Stone, wood, herbs, and soft colors merge with the surroundings, creating a space that soothes and inspires at the same time. Inside the property, there is carefully designed apartment, offering a balance of comfort, function, and privacy. Each unit features two air-conditioned bedrooms with large double beds, a living room with a pull-out sofa and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator and coffee maker, a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, plus a separate toilet. Guests staying longer especially appreciate the in-unit washing machine and the spacious terraces each apartment provides. This year, 2026, there is only one apartment available, while the other one on the 2st floor is not available and no one is in it during your stay. You enjoy the privacy of the entire space. But what truly sets Mares House apart is its outdoor space: beside the house lies a turquoise swimming pool, surrounded by natural stone, greenery, and a comfortable lounge area. The covered terrace by the pool is perfect for long morning coffees, quiet afternoon reading, or evening barbecues under the stars accompanied by the sound of crickets. In addition to the main terrace, there are several more intimate terraces in front of the house and next to the kitchen – ideal for a peaceful breakfast or dinner beneath the night sky.
