During your stay, you will be sharing the house with the hosts which consists of my wife, our 3 cats and I. This cozy bedroom is situated in a vibrant urban neighborhood in Central San Diego close to highways 805, 15, and 8. Our home is about 10-15 minutes away from Mission Valley, Balboa Park, La Jolla, La Mesa, and most beaches. In the AMs, you can experience mild traffic going North and into San Diego Downtown. We are 3-6 miles away from most hospitals, convenient for traveling nurses. The bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed with Apple TV, a large closet, and a desk. During your stay, you will get your own private bathroom which is a few steps away down the hallway. The host has its own private bedroom and bathroom across the hallway. Guests have access to the following: - Guest bedroom (private) - Guest bathroom (private) - Kitchen (shared with host) - Laundry on site (shared with host) - Living room (shared with host & cats) - Outdoor area The house is shared with hosts which consists of my Wife and I. During your stay, we are more than welcome to socialize with you if time permits. We currently work from home and if we are not in a work meeting, we try to make ourselves available as much as we can in case guests need anything. City Heights is a historic working class neighborhood that sits in the heart of San Diego. The community is among the largest in San Diego county and has recently been labeled the most international community in the United States in terms of languages spoken, so all races, religions, and backgrounds are represented by restaurants, businesses, and local cultural events. The two main West-East arteries of the community are University Ave. & El Cajon Blvd., while the North-South is Fairmount Ave. City Heights is surrounded by all of the main highways of San Diego, which include the 15 (N-S), 805 (N-S), 94 (W-E), & 8 (W-E). Within a 10 min drive (to the west) are the historic neighborhoods of Balboa Park, North Park, Hillcrest, Golden Hill, and the Gaslamp District, while the local public university, San Diego State University (SDSU) sits only 5 min. to the east. There are two main bus lines nearby that run through the arteries of City Heights, on University Ave. and El Cajon Blvd (East to West) and on Fairmount Ave. (North to South) that connect you to the rest of the city. Bus times and schedules vary depending on the day. All of this can be researched on MTS' website (URL HIDDEN) Parking is available on the street for free with no worries of towing / hourly restrictions /enforcement and we will be more than happy to accommodate you with a spot in our drive way, however coming and going may be a little inconvenient since it is a single lane driveway for multiple cars. PARKING: We don't offer a private parking spot but street parking in the neighborhood is free. Please make sure you don't leave any valuables in your car and make sure you lock your car at all times throughout all of San Diego. THE CATS: Most of our guests love interacting with our cats and our cats love interacting with our guests too! That being said, we do not allow the cats to go inside the guest room nor the guest bathroom. We also keep our cats indoor at all times and we kindly ask that you close the door as soon as you come in so that they don't go out. NOISE LEVEL: My wife and I work from home during the week and we ask that you are mindful of noise from 8:30am-4:00pm which is the timeframe of most of our meetings. We don't work from any of the shared areas, so normal noise from cooking in the kitchen is not a problem.
