Beach Cottage

Relax with family & friends at this peaceful place to stay. Fully fenced garden, spacious outdoor BBQ area, outdoor beach shower to wash the sand away, plus extra private outdoor hot/cold shower. The cottage is eco friendly with solar electricity, septic system and beautiful water pumped daily from the aquifer. A short walk away from 75 Mile Beach and the K’gari resort for coffee or dinner. The space The cottage is a lovely place to relax and enjoy K’gari. A 3.5 hour drive from Brisbane, located in Eurong, it is a great base to see attractions whether you are heading inland to stunning attractions such as Lake Mackenzie or Central Station, or a trip up north to see Eli Creek and the Maheno. A short walk to the Beach for fishing or to Eurong 1st Valley for a coffee from the bakery. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen ( no microwave sorry). The outdoor screened BBQ area with a large table is perfect for dinner, games or drinks. There are 1.5 bathrooms in the cottage with a private hot/cold shower located in the back garden. There is also a beach shower to wash the sand off after a perfect day on the beach. The cottage has 3 bedrooms Bed 1 - 1 x Queen bed Bed 2 - 1 x Queen bed Bed 3 - 1 x Double bed / 2 x single bunks No linen or pillows provided. Please bring your own sheets (top and bottom), pillows and towels. Sleeping bags are not permitted. Quilts, blankets, tea towels and a bath mat are provided. The cottage is self clean and must be left clean and tidy for the next guest or a $200 cleaning fee will be charged. All cleaning materials required are provided. K’gari is a beautiful natural resource and the cottage is off grid, powered by solar electricity with beautiful water pumped daily from the aquifer. As the house is powered by solar energy there is a need to be considered when using the power. Only one power outlet is available in the cottage and can only be used to charge small electrical devices such as telephones, computers or medical devices such as CPAP ( you would need to bring an extension cord). Attempting to charge large electrical devices such as car fridges, electric frying pans, coffee machines, electric toasters/kettles etc will result in a loss of power. A beach permit from QPWS is required before departing on the Mantaray Barge from inskip Point or Sealink Ferry from Hervey Bay. Guest access The whole house is available to you. Other things to note Due to the self sustaining eco friendly nature of K’gari staying at the cottage requires consideration for the septic system and solar electricity. There is only one available power outlet on the premises which can be used for charging small electrical devices such as phones and lap tops and medical devices such as CPAP (please bring own extension cord). Large appliances such as electric frypans, rice cookers, car fridges and coffee makers cannot be used and power will be lost. 10 guests maximum due to solar/septic capacity. We reserve the right to have the house manager enter the property at any time if it is suspected there are more than 10 guests on the premises. Extra guests will be asked to leave.
