The Shepherds Rest

Prepare yourself for a luxurious shepherds hut experience. The Shepherds Rest has ample room, a quality finish and so much character and charm. From the windows peeping across from the king sized bed to an old Sussex barn, the deep butler sink and wooden counter tops, full sized shower and bathroom to the stunning views facing east ready for the morning sun as it shines up the valley. A rustic experience without compromising on essential conveniences. Can be booked alongside The Old Dairy. The space We have a gorgeous shepherds hut with a huge comfy bed set in the beautiful private area of our farmhouse garden. The Shepherds Rest has more space than you would expect, with a king size bed raised above a table and storage cupboard, a full sized under counter fridge in which you’ll find fresh orange juice and milk from our own cows! We supply eggs, croissants and bread for you to make your own lovely breakfast with tea, coffee and fruit to enjoy too! There are two gas hobs with a whistling kettle and a toaster and air frier for your convenience. The bathroom is fully plumbed in with toilet, sink and huge shower! Heating is provided by woodburner, towel rail and a small oil radiator so you won’t get cold! Guest access Guests are free to park alongside the shepherds hut and use the area of the garden immediately in front to enjoy being outside. Other things to note Please note there is no TV in the shepherds hut nor WiFi, though 02 and Vodafone carriers get reasonably good signal. It is truly the ideal place to completely switch off and unwind. If you are wanting to book as a larger group, The Shepherds Rest is at the same farm as The Old Dairy, East Dean.
