Welcome to The Locale House of Trees. We're inviting you to stay at our serene 2-bedroom home with a private cottage (Kuteera), perfect for families, friends, or work-from-anywhere groups. Nestled among trees, with open courtyards and warm minimal interiors, it sleeps 15 comfortably. Just outside the city, yet deeply peaceful—this is where you slow down, reconnect, and breathe easy. The space Welcome to The Locale House of Trees, our peaceful private farmstay tucked away on a lush 3-acre estate. We host guests across a 2-bedroom farmhouse and a charming standalone studio cottage (Kuteera)—ideal for families, friends, and group getaways looking to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy countryside living. Our Main House Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements Our farmhouse features two spacious bedrooms— • Bedroom 1 with a comfortable double bed • Bedroom 2 with a thick double mattress bed To accommodate larger groups comfortably, we also provide a double sofa bed, two single sofa beds, and additional floor mattresses. With this flexible setup, up to 11 guests can comfortably sleep, while still enjoying both shared spaces and privacy. At the heart of the farmhouse is an open central courtyard, perfect for chilling, stargazing, or enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. Indoors, we’ve added carrom, chess, and basic gym equipment for guests who enjoy a mix of relaxation and light activity during their stay. Kitchenette & Utility Our main house includes a well-equipped kitchenette for simple home-style meals, along with a dedicated laundry area—especially convenient for longer stays or families traveling with children. Kuteera – Our Studio Cottage Our cozy standalone studio cottage (Kuteera) is ideal for couples, small families or friends seeking a little extra privacy. It comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests. The studio features one comfortable double bed, one single bed, and an additional floor mattress, thoughtfully arranged for comfort and ease. The attached kitchenette comes with an induction stove, basic utensils, and a drinking water pot—perfect for your morning coffee or an evening cup of chai. Surrounded by fruit trees, the cottage offers beautiful views of our farm, making it a peaceful retreat within the property. Farm Life & Outdoor Spaces We invite you to wander through our fruit-bearing trees, explore the kitchen garden, and visit our friendly farm animals—ducks, chickens, and turkeys that are always a hit with kids and animal lovers. The gazebo is one of our favourite spots on the property—perfect for morning tea, sunset conversations, or simply soaking in the calm countryside atmosphere. At The Locale House of Trees, we offer a minimal, thoughtful, and immersive farmstay experience—where modern comfort meets authentic countryside living, privacy, and open space. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire 3-acre property, including the lush gardens, gazebo, and all outdoor spaces. You're welcome to explore the surroundings, enjoy the fruit trees, and even say hello to the ducks, chickens, and turkeys in their designated area. The only exception is the caretaker’s residence that is kept separate to ensure your privacy and comfort. We’re always available if you need anything—but otherwise, the space is entirely yours to enjoy! Other things to note Please Note Before Booking To preserve the character and intended spirit of our home, we warmly welcome stays from families and groups of friends. At this time, the main house is not available for couple-only bookings; however, we are happy to host couples in our cottage. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and request that reservations be made in alignment with this guideline. The kitchen is equipped for light to moderate self-cooking. Available amenities include a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, mixer/blender, pressure cooker, flat pan (tava), cooking vessels in multiple sizes, kettle/hot water vessel, plates, glasses, cutlery (spoons and forks), and basic cooking and serving utensils. Interesting places you can also visit from our property: 1. Walk to the Lake – On the Property Enjoy a peaceful morning or evening walk to the lake behind our property. You might see peacocks and other birds. Ask our caretaker to guide you safely. 2. Monolith Rock Hike – 15 km Hike up a massive rock for breathtaking sunrise and sunset views! Spot age-old trees, bee hives, birds, bats, and monkeys along the way. It’s a steep 40-minute trek, best done barefoot—carry water. 3. Bettamugilalam Hills – 35 km A nearby hilly forest area with scenic views, cool breeze, and the feel of a mini hill station. Perfect for a short scenic drive or ride. 4. Dabbaguli Basaveshwara Swamy Temple – 65 km Bathe in the cool river cascades near this serene temple and enjoy a refreshing nature escape. 5. Hogenakkal Falls – 68 km We’re the perfect base to visit these stunning waterfalls, ideal for a day trip and photo opportunities. 6. Bilikal Rangaswamy Temple – 69 km Enjoy hilltop views and a scenic drive or biking route through quiet villages and countryside roads. Ideal for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Scenic drives and rides around the area offer plenty of opportunities to explore quiet villages, rolling hills, and countryside landscapes.
