Groups book the whole house, (max) 11 persons and pay our Rate of minimum USD 1000 . The rate includes: * the whole house with 5 bedrooms ensuite, bedlinnen, towels, soaps, cutlery, etc. * Staff (cook, butler, cleaner and Masai guards). * Full board. We can organize for extra fees the following: * Transport over land Nairobi-Aitong v.v. * Game drives (wildlife safaris, etc..) For a stay you will need to pay also to pay for the park/conservancy fees. We are happy to facilitate this for you. Our private and romantic Aitong Crater House is secluded in the bush on the edge of an ancient crater, near the Masai village of Aitong and in the heart of the most exciting wilderness ecosystems in Africa. It is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters, overlooking the plains of the Masai Mara. It is part of the Pardamat Conservancy and it overlooks also the various other Mara (Lemek, Mara North, Motorogi, Olare Orok, etc..) Conservancies, including the Siria or Oloololo Escarpment (Rift). The Mara River with its hippo’s and crocodiles and wildebeest crossings is at a few kilometers away. We build the house here not only because it is a beautiful place with a romantic breathtaking view and an incredible “calming” privacy and silence (except for the nature sounds) but also because of the incredible rich fauna and flora. Over the last 20 years, we have visited almost all game parks and nature reserves of East Africa and especially Kenya and we find this place on top of the crater almost unparalleled if not magical in terms of abundance of wild animals and eco-systems. It has in our experience more wildlife than the famous Masai Mara Reserve that is at around 30 minutes drive away. And even better this area has something that you do not find in the Masai Mara, that are the Masai people with their respect for and wisdom of nature and wildlife. We have Masai people working for us at this home as well as with our activities like game drives or nature walks. There are several airstrips in the neighborhood at around 30 minutes. Our House has 5 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (with bathtub, a shower and free toiletries). There is a Dining and Living Room and two terraces: downstairs and upstairs. All meals are included and can be enjoyed in the dining area. Bush picnics can be organized as well. A variety of wines and drinks can be served. Complimentary laundry facilities are provided. In addition to game drives and nature walks, the camp offers visits to local Maasai villages. And lst but not least : Free Wifi As we have just started to open up our own intimate home to our guests and as we have no idea yet how it will work for both our guests and ourselves, we want to start with rates with which we can cover our costs. The first visitors will therefore on the one hand be lucky to pay less, but on the other hand we ask them to help us in improving our set-up with constructive advise and ideas.
