The lovely village of Cley-next-the-Sea is famous for its 18th-century windmill and proximity to one of the UK’s best nature reserves for bird watching. Unique shops include a smokehouse, bookshop and pottery studio, and there’s an excellent deli just around the corner from the cottage, too. The space The shingle beach is just over a mile away and is a great place for a stroll. For more walks, take the coast path to Holme-next-the-Sea, which joins the Peddars Way National Trail. From Blakeney, 1.5 miles away, you can take a boat trip to see England’s largest grey seal colony, and in Holt, 4 miles from home, you’ll find shops, galleries and places to eat. For sandy beaches and a traditional seaside vibe, Sheringham and Cromer are both within 13 miles. This impressive period cottage has been elegantly refurbished to provide a wonderful blend of character and modern convenience. The ground floor boasts both a snug and a lounge, each with a Smart TV for streaming your favourite shows. The snug has a wood burner, too, tucked into a large brick fireplace: perfect for a cosy winter’s evening after a day spent exploring the area. The kitchen/diner is a handsome room with an apex ceiling, dark-painted cabinets and Luxury Vinyl flooring. The cook can set to work whipping up fabulous holiday meals before settling around the farmhouse-style dining table with room for everyone to relax over dinner. A small double bedroom (with a 4’ bed) is conveniently located on the ground floor and features an en-suite shower room. The other two gorgeous bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, are on the first floor, tucked under the eaves, sharing a stunning family bathroom with a large, walk-in shower and a fabulous roll-top bath. From the stable door in the kitchen, you can access the patio and the enclosed lawn – a wonderful spot for children and your pet to play as you enjoy the fresh air.
