This old stone barn was converted to a high standard in 2005 and is in a quiet rural village location with wonderful countryside for walking, fishing, cycling etc. With a high vaulted ceiling, modern kitchen and bathroom the bedroom is large enough to have 2 king size beds and a sofa bed and can sleep 5 people in comfort. The collection of classic bikes displayed on the wall will amaze and inspire. The village has a lovely pub, chip shop, Indian takeaway, lake, River Nene. Great location. The space Entering into the lounge area which has a high ceiling with exposed beams, this is where you find a log burner, comfy seating, smart TV, dining tables and chairs. Stairs lead up to the bedroom which has an open balcony over the living room. There are 2 Kingsize beds and a sofa bed. The owners are a family of 5 - so inspiration for this comes from their needs when travelling. Equally it suits someone travelling alone, 2 people who want their own bed or couples or families who are happy sharing a sleeping space. This room also has a door out onto a balcony with lovely views over the old part of the village and nearby countryside. There is a modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, oven, gas hob, microwave oven, toaster and kettle, as well as a sink of course. The bathroom is modern and fully tiled with a large powerful shower, plus hand basin and toilet. Outside, there is use of the front garden which has some kids play things - in ground trampoline, swings and a play house. This is an annexe to the hosts house, it’s not attached to the house and the entrance is through the shared garden. Parking is off road on the shared drive. You’ll have a fob that opens those gates so you have off road parking for 1 car, there’s plenty of parking in the village. Access to the annexe is through the garden and being detached from the house, it is very private - your hosts are discreetly on hand should you need anything. There is an outdoor balcony from the bedroom with lovely views and there is shared use of the front garden which has some seating, trampoline and swings. Ringstead offers plenty of country walks, a pub less than 5 minute walk, coffee shop 20 minutes walk, a convenience store, post office, fish and chip shop, Indian takeaway - plus other services a short drive away - including Wicksteed Park, Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre and Stanwick Lakes natural park. Other things to note This property is well located with easy access to the A45 and A14 with Cambridge, Kettering, Wellingborough, Bedford, Northampton not far away. The Nene Valley and Northamptonshire are beautiful and largely undiscovered yet full of history - that’s why they call it the “Notswolds!” Whether you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in a nice quiet location, a base to enjoy the countryside and what it offers, we are sure you will be comfortable happy and content with your stay in this large bright warm quiet comfortable barn conversion.
