The space This is a hidden island paradise just a short boat ride from the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast. Experience the unspoilt sub-tropical beauty whilst staying in this amazing contemporary resort style home. This architecturally designed home is a stunning blend of design and functionality. Nestled in lush subtropical gardens, it features a fantastic north-east aspect and lovely lagoon views, creating a serene retreat close to the city. Upon entering, you'll notice the thoughtful design, with generous spaces that reflect a modern twist on the classic Queenslander style. These include timber finishes and large 12m wide glass sliding doors that stack into the wall and fully bring nature indoors. The living and dining areas boast soaring ceilings and abundant light, perfect for gatherings. The cosy fireplace serves as a warm focal point for family moments. The heart of this home is an inspiring kitchen equipped with an island bench, elegant stone countertops, gas cooking, and ample storage. The fridge has a cold filtered water tap on the front. An outdoor BBQ continues the kitchen outside for breezy relaxed cooking. Outdoor entertaining is effortless with a huge stunning deck flowing from the main living spaces, complemented by the tranquillity of your waterfront surroundings. The swimming pool is adjacent to the deck and easily supervised from the kitchen and living areas. The deck extends almost to the water, with a secure fence providing peace of mind for parents with small children. Modern features include high ceilings, ceiling fans, air conditioning, and durable materials. The decor is modern and comfortable with lots of lounge and dining space. Sun lounges and bean bags are provided for relaxing on the deck or by the fire pit at night. Enjoy the Magpies that serenade us on the deck and listen to the Kookaburras who live close by. Be enchanted by the local wallabies who can be seen in the estate gardens each evening. The home caters easily to various living arrangements by offering four generous bedrooms with two ensuited master bedrooms. The first main bedroom is a separate suite on it's own upper level with a private balcony. It is a true retreat, featuring a luxuriously spacious ensuite with double vanities and spa overlooking the lagoon. The second main bedroom is also ensuited and has a private deck with a northern sunny aspect. Bedroom three has two single beds, a study desk and built-in robe. Bedroom four is setup with a bunk bed unit with for single beds and built-in robe. This room is perfect for the kids. All the bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans and louvres for maximum breezes, which are fully screened against insects. Conveniently located a short boat ride away, you can do your shopping at Runaway Bay Shopping Centre before arriving on the island. The water taxi can collect you from the Centre's pontoon if arranged. Please note that there are no supermarkets on the island and you will need to bring all your food and beverage supplies with you. There is a Convenience Shop at Tippler's Resort if you need bread and milk. Note that Tippler's opening hours may vary outside holiday periods, so it’s best to phone first. We can organise for your supplies to be delivered to the house by prior arrangement for a fee. An executive chef is available to cook for you or supply pre-prepared meals. Message us for details and costs. Guest access The whole house is available for your use. The garage is locked and used for private storage. Other things to note The only way to access this property is via boat. If you don't have your own, we can help with contact information for a water taxi service. You should bring all your supplies for your stay, as there's only one small convenience store on the island. Let us know if you'd like help with shopping, chef made meals or planning for your stay. Guests have complimentary use of 7 bikes and two kayaks and 3 stand up paddle boards. Please be mindful of others when using the equipment and return it in the same condition as you found it. Essential services such as power, water and sewage are provided to our property by a private company for the sole use of our South Stradbroke Island Waters community. The cost of providing these services are approximately twice the cost of mainland services. Please be conscious to limit your consumption of power, gas and water. Contact us for details.
