Mulberry. The Roundhouse

Mulberry is an amazing and unique space set in a large secluded area within the garden of our thatched cottage in Dunchurch, Warwickshire. Mulberry is more than a yurt. Mulberry is 5* glamping. It’s a luxurious roundhouse that sleeps up to 6 in a large open space with an adjacent fully fitted kitchen / diner with separate toilet and shower room. There’s a TV in the tree house next to the covered stage and a gas BBQ under the shade of the walnut trees. Ample space to play or just relax. The space New in July 2025, our Mulberry roundhouse is a large 40 sq. m. space with a kingsize bed and two large day beds that pull out into double beds. So can easily accommodate 6 people. Even with 6 it’s a big space but is simply huge with 4. It’s super cosy in colder weather with the log burner where you can snuggle up on the sofas and just relax. Plus we have an aircon unit for when summer temperatures make it warm. Please note the wonderful dome in centre of the roof does not have a blind so it’s fantastic for star gazing at night but it does let in the early morning light. However we offer comfortable sleep masks for those that like it dark in the mornings. Or by all means bring your own. It has a separate fully fitted kitchen with dining table and a toilet / shower room next door. Both with central heating. The kitchen has a full oven and hob, fridge and dishwasher. In the space of approximately 1/2 acre, there’s also a tree house that has a TV, as well as a covered stage area for any budding musicians or thespians 🎭. More than enough space to play or relax. From the gate at the bottom of the garden it’s a 10 minute walk on a path through the fields to Draycote Water. The reservoir has a tarmac road all the way round which is almost 5 miles. There is also a visitor centre with an excellent cafe. Draycote has an excellent reputation for sailing tuition and superb for windsurfing or fishing. Guest access The main house is a thatched cottage called Lavender Furlong. Mulberry is at the bottom of our garden and has its own secluded area of approx half an acre. Parking is adjacent to the garage and guests have a short walk of approx 100m across grass / lawn. We have a trolley available to take bags & belongings. Other things to note Mulberry has been built with the idea to offer families or small groups of friends a quiet secluded space to enjoy and relax, or explore the area. Although a relatively small village; Dunchurch offers several restaurants and a number of takeaways covering the usual Indian / Chinese / pizza and of course …… fish & chip shop There is also two excellent coffee shops in the centre of the village. We are situated on the Western edge of Dunchurch village with several interesting and exciting amenities on the doorstep. Draycote Water is only a 15 min walk and offers world class sailing tuition or for those that enjoy a more relaxed environment there’s fishing or bird watching. There is also fishing pools at nearby Toft and a few miles south at Barby. If you’re attending a wedding at the delightful Bourton Hall, Mulberry is an excellent location as it’s only a 7 min drive away. If you’re into canal boats, we have Braunston Marina only a 10 min drive south of Dunchurch near the junction of the Oxford and Grand Union Canals. You can hire boats or simply walk the peaceful towpaths. (A few pubs en route of course). We are only 3 miles from Rugby town centre. The ‘Real’ home of Rugby football 🏉😊. There are tour’s available most Saturdays of the delightful and historic Rugby School. If Motorsport is your passion, then you’ll be delighted to know we are only 35 mins from the iconic Silverstone racetrack. A fantastic location if you are lucky enough to get tickets to the F1 in July, the Moto GP in August, or the newly announced Carfest hosted by Chris Evans Further afield we have the amazing Warwick Castle which is a fantastic day out for the whole family, and of course Shakespeares birthplace, Stratford on Avon is a 40 min drive.
