Luxury Farmhouse Retreat on Historic Estate (over 25yrs old to book) Welcome to Pasture House, a beautifully restored farmhouse set in a 1600-acre privately owned historic estate belonging to the Smith-Dodsworth family, custodians of this Country Estate for over 700 years. This stunning countryside retreat comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, it’s perfect for families/groups of friends looking to unwind in peaceful, idyllic surroundings. Dogs are very welcome but NOT allowed in the bedrooms. The space This is a very spacious property, with a large open plan kitchen/dining space (dining table can seat 10) with a wood burning stove, two large Reception rooms (both with smart TV's) one with an open fire. There is a designated spacious Dog Room with its own fridge, sink and cupboard space - this area is suitable for storing bikes securely too! Please note dogs are NOT allowed in any of the bedrooms or on the furniture. There is an outside warm water dog shower. Ground floor: Large open plan full kitchen with Aga Cooker and dining area with wood burning stove. One bedroom with twin beds with adjoining shower room and loo) suitable for grandparents or children. Laundry Room with washing machine and a condenser/dryer/ironing board and large fridge freezer. First Floor: Three large bedrooms, One super king (splits into twin if required please order in advance) the other two bedrooms have king beds and all have hairdryers and plenty of hanging space for clothes. Two large family bathrooms with walk in showers and freestanding baths. Games room with pool table, juke box and bar stools/phone chargers etc Outside there are large enclosed gardens, with outdoor seating furniture (2 outdoor sofas with arm chairs) and 3 picnic benches. There is also an outdoor electric socket and water filling facilities to enable you to hire a HOT TUB. Please ask for recommendations. Parking for up to 5 cars and an EV car charger. Guest access Guest get access to the whole farmhouse and surrounding gardens. There is plenty of parking for at least 5 cars at Pasture House but the farm tracks are not suitable for low suspension sports cars. Other things to note As this is a Privately Owned Historic Estate we do not allow Events or loud music/parties and you must be over 25 years old to book this property. Whilst we are huge dog lovers we do not allow dogs upstairs or in any of the bedrooms due out of respect for anyone with an animal allergy. If you are looking for a beautifully quiet relaxing retreat in the heart of the countryside or you love walking/hiking/cycling... then Pasture House is for you ! There is plenty of parking for at least 5 cars at Pasture House but the farm tracks are not suitable for low suspension sports cars. We also allow outdoor HOT TUB hire please ask for recommendations.
