Peaceful stolp near Amsterdam

Our colourful farmhouse near Amsterdam combines design, art, and a cosy record player with the charm of old Dutch countryside. Wake up surrounded by green fields, birds, and a historic windmill. Stylish, warm, and full of character – a unique mix of modern comfort and traditional nature. The space At the very top of the house, you’ll find a cozy double bedroom. On the first floor, there is another double room with a comfortable bed and a small desk. This floor also has a dedicated office space where we can place a 120 cm-wide sofa bed for additional guests. A spacious bathroom is available, along with a separate toilet. On the ground floor, you’ll find a bright and spacious living room with an open kitchen. There’s also a second separate toilet on this level. Large French doors open up to the generous garden, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. If you follow the road from the house, you’ll reach the dike along the Markermeer lake. There’s a small jetty where you can go for a swim on hot days. You’ll also find a beautiful windmill there, called De Breek, which you can walk to for a drink or a bite to eat. Two bicycles are available for you to use during your stay. You can park up to two cars for free on the property. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the nearest bus stop, with direct connections to both Amsterdam city center (30min) and Hoorn (15min) — so you’ll be in the city in no time, while still enjoying the peace and space of the countryside. The deep back garden is shared with the neighbor behind the house. The side garden — which you can see from the French doors — is private and all yours, except for a right of way that allows the neighbor to walk through to reach her car. Please note: we’re in the process of gradually renovating the house, room by room. That means you might notice the occasional unfinished detail – like an unpainted door. But rest assured, everything is fully functional and already beautiful as it is. It’s nothing that will affect the comfort of your stay – and it’s only getting better over time!
