The Kerterre of the Jardin des Lucioles

On the edge of Normandy Switzerland, a land of outdoor sports, (hiking, mountain biking, paragliding...) close to the great thrill of the Pont de la Souleuvre, halfway between Mont Saint Michel and the Normandy beaches, the Jardin des Lucioles offers you a stay in a Kerterre. More than a stay, an experience, a return to the source, a disconnection, the time of a stopover, a weekend or a week. The space Small gnome house (12 m2), all round, it was shaped by hand with hemp, water and lime. Kerterre is made of friendship, solidarity and simplicity. A small "cat toilet" area to wash up. The bathroom is shared guests/hosts, it is in the house, 50 m from Kerterre. Outside, nearby, a small outdoor kitchen, with 2 gas burners, a sink, a coffee maker, a teapot, dishes for light cooking, coffee, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. This kitchen is accessible in spring, summer and part of fall. It is closed in the winter. The toilets, outside, nearby, are dry to conserve water and give back to the Earth what it generously offers us. There is no electricity in the Kerterre. The lighting is basic, with a storm lamp that we will make sure to recharge for your arrival. Or, by candlelight, the charm of the evenings is incomparable. For the cold seasons, a wood-burning stove provides light and warmth. No wifi in Kerterre, but outside, you can enjoy it though. If you need to, you can also recharge your mobile phone in our house. We will be happy to welcome you to this cozy cocoon where you can rest, in a garden like no other, where wild plants are welcome and where the lawnmower sleeps like a dormouse. In the Firefly Garden, weeds do not exist, they are essential to wildlife, so precious for our healing and we eat them! Thanks to the skydome, you can relax under the starry vault of Kerterre and enjoy the sky that sparkles in the dark night. Welcome to the Kerterre du Jardin des Lucioles, a magical glow, a touch of poetry Guest access * The Firefly Garden is not suitable for people with reduced mobility, we are deeply sorry. * You can park in front of the house, in a free parking lot, which is 70 m from the Kerterre. * You can access the Kerterre by following a path in the garden. The entrance is free and is done independently. I'll lend you a wheelbarrow to carry your suitcases if you like. * Bathroom in the house, located 50 m from the Kerterre, shared by travelers/hosts. Other things to note * Kerterre is next to the field of Tiché the pony, a great hairy sage, with four legs, who loves scratches, caresses and hard bread... It is the wonderful mower of the Jardin des Lucioles. * Breakfast, organic and local, is included. It will be delivered to you in the morning at the Kerterre door. * In the cold seasons, the kerterre is heated by a wood stove and the kitchen is in winter storage. * Pets are not allowed to preserve the animal and plant biodiversity of the place. * Sheets are provided. * Think about boots, and different shoes and clothes suitable for changing weather. The morning dew, the rains are a chance for plant, animal and human communities, but they get wet!
