A daily continental breakfast is included with your stay. The space Located in L’lsle Jourdain, Le Grand Charde is a 5 bedroom bourgeois property built in the 1720’s. Entering the property, you are welcomed by characteristic wrought iron gates leading you to the main house along with 1.6 hectares of secure land and various outbuildings which you can explore on your visit. Le Grand Charde occupies an invaluable position within L’lsle Jourdain; nearby to a quaint village yet benefitting from the tranquil countryside which surrounds the property. At the back of the property, you’ll find an old railway line forming an idyllic walk, cycling or horse-riding track, leading you to miles of walkways and peaceful country lanes. The property is just a short walk away from the beautiful river Vienne and the impressive 12 arched viaduct bridge running across the river. On the river there is a water sports centre allowing the more adventurous to zip wire across or bungee jump from the viaduct. Less than 5 km away, the Circuit du Val de Vienne motor racing circuit hosts both professional championships and public car & motorbike events each year, all of which attracts tourists into the surrounding area and offers a great opportunity to welcome a range of customers. L'Isle-Jourdain is a small town of Vienne, forming part of the New Aquitaine region in Western France. Inhabited since the 4th century, the municipality of L'Isle-Jourdain was developed in the Middle Ages with the construction of its stately castle. Over the centuries, it has gradually taken on the charming and dynamic face that we know today, attracting visitors to soak in its architectural heritage, twice weekly market, restaurants and sporting activities. Le Grand Charde is positioned in an excellent location which benefits from various transport links. Situated 60km from Poitiers airport and 80km Limoge airports, there are regular flights from both airports taking you to main land countries throughout the year, with additional flights available during peak periods. There is also a good network of notable road links within L’Isle Jourdain allowing you to reach nearby villages and beyond.
