Welcome to the Golden Castle Loft – in the most exclusive location of Thun! You will stay in a house from the 16th century. The house dates back to the 16th century and is one of the oldest buildings in Thun’s Old Town. @ The Ground Floor Here you will find the retro arcade lounge with a Star Wars arcade machine, green velvet sofa and game table, perfect for spending time together. You will also find a guest toilet and a laundry room with washing machine, iron and drying rack. @ The Upper Floor Upstairs, you enter the open living, dining and kitchen area with lots of wood and historic charm. From the window, you have a direct view of the Town Hall Square, which turns into a historic market every Saturday, a piece of living history right outside your door. @ The Sleeping Area The solid wild oak bed with pocket spring mattress provides a royal night’s sleep. With one click, you can turn on the electric fireplace and enjoy the warm, golden atmosphere. @ Lounge, Workspace & Bathroom Two golden velvet chairs, warm lighting by the pear wood trunk and a desk with a monitor offer a comfortable place to relax or work. The modern bathroom with shower is open to the sleeping area and can be separated with a sliding room divider. The separate toilet is also located in the sleeping area but is a private room with a door. @ The Location The Golden Castle Loft is located in the heart of Thun’s Old Town, directly on the historic Town Hall Square with a view of the castle. Some of the city’s best-known traditional festivals and events take place on this square. Nearby, you will find the famous Bälliz street with many local shops, as well as the lively Mühleplatz with bars, restaurants and cosy cafés. Lake Thun is only a 5-minute walk away. @ Getting Here From Thun train station, you can reach the apartment in only 5 minutes by bus, which runs about every 10 minutes, or in around 10 minutes on foot. @ The Surroundings Your accommodation is the perfect starting point for unforgettable trips around the region. Check-in is easy and fully self-service 🔑 After completing our online check-in form, you will receive your personal code for the key box and can check in by yourself on the day of arrival. Other things to note #Check-in Before your arrival, please take a moment to fill out our short check-in form. #The Accommodation Both sleeping areas are on the same floor and are separated by a curtain. A door will be installed by spring. The bathroom with shower is open to the sleeping area and can be separated with a sliding room divider. #No Lift The first floor is inside the apartment and can be reached by a short staircase with only a few steps. #Location Due to the central location in the historic Old Town, it can be a little more lively, especially on weekends. There are restaurants, bars and also an adult nightlife venue nearby. With the windows open, some noise from the surroundings may be heard at night. We provide free earplugs for sensitive sleepers. #Terrace For safety reasons, the terrace in the bedroom area cannot be accessed (as required by the City of Thun). #Parking The apartment is located in a car-free zone. However, the public parking garage (Parking Garage Burgzentrum) is only around 5 minutes walking distance away. #Baby Changing Table Foldable changing table available on request.
