Beautiful Cotswold Cottage

Beautifully restored 3-4 bedroom cottage. Modern comfort in a 17th century building: the original part of the cottage is the oldest dwelling in the beautiful village of Leafield. There is a fantastic pub just a short walk over the green and a village shop the same distance away. 10 minutes drive from Clarkson’s Farm shop and Farmer’s Dog pub, Daylesford, Burford & Chipping Norton. Perfect starting point for touring all the stunning Cotswolds countryside and towns. The space The original part of the cottage dates back to the 17th century and it has a sympathetically built modern extension. We have recently restored the whole cottage, taking care to maintain the period features. There are three large double bedrooms upstairs, one with a king size bed, one a double bed and one with two singles which can be configured to make a superking on request. All bedrooms are spacious with high quality beds and bedding and views over the countryside or the village green. There is an upstairs bathroom with shower over bath and w.c. Downstairs there is a large, open plan, well equipped kitchen/dining room with cosy extra sofa sitting space. There is a comfortable sitting room with a fireplace (not in use for open fires) and large smart TV. There is high speed WiFi throughout the cottage. There is also an additional snug/playroom/office space downstairs with smart TV and a double sofa bed. This can be made up on request as an alternative downstairs bedroom for anyone who is unable to use the stairs. Please note that if this room is requested to be used as an additional bedroom to the three bedrooms upstairs, there will be an additional charge per night. This use of the sofa bed must be requested at the point of booking and then the surcharge will be added to the booking before it is confirmed. There is a downstairs shower room with w.c. adjacent to the snug. We have a travel cot (no linen) and a highchair we can provide on request. There is a utility room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Outside there is a pretty cottage garden with a sitting/dining area and garden furniture for 6 people to eat outside and a smaller seating area for sundowners. There is a plenty of free parking by the village green next to the cottage. The village has an excellent pub (The Fox) which serves huge portions of good pub food and there is a great village shop, both within 200m of the cottage. Other things to note As with many very old buildings there are some low beams and the staircase is narrow. There are various local facilities for charging electric vehicles but no charging vehicles from The property is permitted. Up to 2 dogs are very welcome but please not upstairs and not on the furniture.
