Daisy Shepherd's Hut

Daisy Shepherd's Hut is a handcrafted retreat for two, tucked away in a peaceful glade on the West Down Estate near North Molton. With one double bed and an en-suite shower room, it's an inviting base for a romantic countryside escape, with Exmoor and the North Devon coast within easy reach. The space Inside, the hut is full of character, featuring a wood-burning stove, a compact kitchen with fridge, kettle, electric hob and microwave, and a small dining table tucked beside the fire. A television and electric heater are also provided, keeping the space cosy year-round. The en-suite shower room includes a walk-in shower, toilet and basin. Bed linen and towels are supplied, though guests are asked to bring their own beach towels if using the hot tub or heading off-site. Outside, the hut enjoys its own secluded space in a corner of a field on the working farm, overlooking fields and trees. There's a wood-fired hot tub, a fire pit with rustic seating, and a table for outdoor meals — ideal for stargazing or toasting marshmallows after a day out. There is no enclosed garden, but guests are free to explore the wider grounds of the West Down Estate, where deer and other wildlife are often spotted. Parking is available at the edge of the meadow, a short walk from the hut. Heating and electricity are included, and the property is strictly no smoking. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a charge of GBP 25 per dog; dogs must be kept off the furniture, not left alone in the property, and guests are asked to clean up after their pets. The hut is suitable for children but is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility and does not offer wheelchair access. Check-in is from 4 pm, with check-out by 10 am.
