An ideal family home nestled in the beautiful Kent countryside village. Wingham is halfway between Canterbury and Sandwich with a small selection of shops, pubs, restaurant and Wildlife Park. You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located family home in Wingham. 8.2 miles from Canterbury City Centre, only a short drive to various Kent beaches and the two local wildlife parks. Perfect place to explore if you are on your way to or from the French or Belgium coast too! The space The home Welcome to Vicarage Gardens – a pet-friendly village escape nestled between Canterbury and Sandwich. Perfect for families or couples, this charming family home offers a blend of comfort, home from home amenities, and thoughtful touches throughout. Living and Dining Step inside to find a fresh welcoming living space where, soft comfortable seating awaits. It’s a lovely spot to relax after a day of exploring the coast or countryside. The circular dining table is a great place to sit and catch up over a lovely home cooked meal. For guests who need to keep in touch, the wifi is available throughout the house. Kitchen and Cooking The fully equipped kitchen is, modern and practical, with everything you need to prepare family meals. A stylish hob, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and coffee maker are all to hand, along with essentials like crockery, utensils and glassware. Bedrooms and Comfort In the master bedroom we have a modern King size bed with ambient lighting. Bedroom 2 has a comfortable double bed and fitted wardrobe and Bunk beds in Bedroom 3. All beds have crisp bed sheets, soft pillows and ample storage. A travel cot is available upon request. Bathroom and Essentials The modern bathroom is fitted with a full size bath with shower attachment plus a separate double walk in shower, heated towel rail, fluffy towels and basic toiletries. Outdoor Space Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink in the garden in this lovely enclosed garden, enjoy a bbq or just relax listening to the church bells ring. Local Area Vicarage Gardens offers easy access to the Canterbury, surrounding countryside walks or a short trip in the car to a large array of Kent coastlines. You'll also find a large selection of farm shops and other amenities minutes away by car. For nature lovers, why not indulge in the abundance of country walks available on the doorstep. There a regular buses from Wingham into Canterbury and Sandwich, why not explore more of Kent on a double decker. Your Hosts Nick and Louisa, friendly hosts are happy to share their local knowledge, whether it’s recommending the best countryside walks, beaches or the finest nearby eateries. If you prefer total peace and privacy, they’ll always respect your space. We are only a text or phone call away. Guest access Parking is to the right-hand side of the property on a private drive. Self check-in is available from 3pm, letting you arrive at your own pace. Other things to note We love dogs and welcome one small/medium sized dog. There are two dog friendly pubs within the village. Guest access You can have no contact access to the property from 3pm on check in day with the coded key box. There is an allocated parking space to the right of the property on a private driveway. Other things to note Wingham is a quintessential English village East of Canterbury City Centre. The location is perfect if you want to explore what Kent has to offer. Beaches, countryside walk and Canterbury catherdral are just a few of the places you can visit. There is a train station Adisham just a short drive away which will take you to London or to Dover. There are also buses that serve the village every 20 minutes taking you to Sandwich, Deal, Canterbury and other surrounding villages. If you don't fancy cooking whilst you are on your holiday, we are very lucky to have two pubs in Wingham, one a superb gastropub and one a lovely typical village pub serving delicious meals along with an Indian restaurant.
