Over the centuries it has been gradually enlarged with sympathetic additions and adaptations so that today it is a comfortable five-bedroom country getaway - ideally suited for getting together with friends and family, business team meetings and entertaining clients - Cheltenham racecourse is conveniently close. Inside a lot of thought has been put into combining comfort, style and practicality. On the ground floor: *KITCHEN - a great light filled 30ft+ kitchen – which invariably becomes the hub of the house! It has granite worktops, stainless steel range cooker, breakfast area, table to seat 10+ and just about everything a keen cook needs (including a large wine rack!) *SITTING ROOM - the large oak beamed sitting room has comfy sofas to sink into and wood fires at each end – a sizeable wood burning stove at one end and at the other a double-sided fireplace leading to the reading/games/TV area. *UTILITY ROOM - with washing machine and tumble dryer *CLOAKROOM and HALL On the first floor: *5 BEDROOMS - There are five comfortable bedrooms – two bedrooms with king size beds, one small single bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with adult size bunk beds. There is also a cot and a put you up bed if required. * 2 BATHROOMS - Both bathrooms have powerful walk in showers, baths for long relaxing soaks and heated towel rails. Lying just outside the pretty village of Hanley Swan, between the Malvern Hills and the river Severn it's a 5 minute walk to the village where you will find a quintessentially English village green, a lily-covered pond and a very welcoming pub - with lots of outside space to enjoy in the summer and an open fire in the winter! The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are a host of things to do locally - choose from: Walking, Cycling, Quad biking, Horse riding, Horse racing, Fishing, Boating, Swimming, Golf and Dry skiing. You really should 'climb' the Malvern Hills and explore the beautiful unspoilt countryside, with Upton-on-Severn, Malvern (home of Morgan Cars) and the market town of Ledbury all within 10 miles. Cheltenham with its famous racecourse is close by as are the cathedral cities of Worcester and Hereford. For the historically minded - Eastnor Castle, Sudeley Castle and Warwick Castle are definitely worth visits and host a series of events throughout the year. The Brecon Beacons, the Wye Valley and the Cotswolds are all within easy reach as is Stratford-upon-Avon if you fancy taking in a Shakespeare play.
