The space This spacious apartment is perfect for a couple, seeking a rural holiday with the added advantage being walking distance to the historic town of Crewkerne offering an array of local amenities. The apartment itself is light and airy with views across the surrounding countryside from the kitchen and bedroom windows, hence its name - Green Views. The apartment is situated on the top floor of a 3 story house so access is through the main entrance where you will meet your host who will guide you up to your own private front door. All the rooms have sloping ceilings which add to the charm, however ultra tall guests should be mindful. The deco is modern, with a Scandi feel, while original artwork and quirky collections of ornaments create a truly unique, playful ambience. As well as a king sized bed, the large bedroom also accommodates a single bed with pull-out option to make it a double. If you wish to use this bed for sleeping please let your host know when you book. All practical needs are catered for with a fully equipped kitchen and option of using the hosts washing machine should the need arise. The bathroom has a bath with shower and plenty of storage. Storage is also abundant in the bedroom. The sitting room includes a dining table to seat four and TV's are in both the sitting and bedroom. There's a DVD player in the sitting room. All the rooms include ambient light options, with table and floor lights, and movement sensitive floor washers in the corridor to avoid using bright lights during the night. Crewkerne is situated in South Somerset on the border of Dorset. Its 25 mins to West Bay beach and Bridport, a popular lively market town. Lyme Regis is just further West along the coastal route. Other towns of note are Dorchester and Weymouth with its bustling harbour and beach. Other attractions include The Newt, The Abbotsbury Swannery, Sea World, Cheddar Gorge Caves, National Trust properties, and historic local gardens. There are numerous picturesque towns nearby: Bruton with Hauser & Wirth on its doorstep, Sherbourne boasting a stunning art gallery, Castle Cary and South Petherton to name only a few. If its fresh outdoor air you're after, the property is situated within the rolling green Somerset Downs so there are beautiful walks immediately accessible from the apartment or a short drive away, wooded and hilltop venues with sweeping views. Otherwise enjoy the South West Coastal Path including the Jurassic Coast with Durdle Door beach. There's local nightlife or at the other end of the spectrum treat yourself to well-being, 17 mins away are the superb Treatment Rooms at Horton Cross or the impressive Crewkerne public pool and Gym. If you feel productive there are a variety of courses available to attend throughout the year from stone carving or wood turning, hone your writing skills, knitting or try your hand at abstract art. You'll receive a warm welcome from your hosts whether you come for a night, a weekend or stay longer to relax, chill and explore, while enjoying delicious pub grub in the numerous friendly localities, not to mention the cider!
