Welcome to the cozy Veslestua from around 1800! The house is a traditional old and typical Norwegian log house that invites you to relax and enjoy. It is charming with low ceilings and painted panels inside. Pleasant small-paned windows in all rooms. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare a meal, dishes, bowls and plates. Beautifully located with a view of Mjøsa, Norway's largest lake. Central with good bus and train connections to Moelv, 2 km away. The space Veslestua has 93 m2 floor space on 1.5 floors, upgraded and well insulated with a fully equipped kitchen for your own household. You will find "good to have" basic items such as wheat flour, sugar, salt and coffee/tea in the kitchen. Here you can fire with free wood in the kitchen and in the wood-burning stove in the living room. In addition, there are panel ovens in all rooms. The living room is cozy and spacious with 2 seating areas with a view to the garden and Mjøsa. There is also a desk with a reading lamp and a rich bookshelf with literature and board games for young and old. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and new washing machine. 2 spacious bedrooms with a double bed on the 2nd floor plus one smaller bedroom with a single bed on the first floor. Possibility of an extra bed with a good mattress in one bedroom, and we can put in a travel cot and high chair on request. You can choose to sit outside in the evening sun and enjoy the view and the activity in the yard, or retreat to the private behind the lilac at the south end of Veslestua. Veslestua has WiFi for normal surfing. Our cat, Anna, is a cuddly cat who is not allowed in the Veslestua, but who is happy to accept cuddles outside in the yard. Weslestua is therefore perfect if you have any kind of allergy to domestic animals. Our farm Smestad is located in a unique historical landscape, with many archaeological finds. A view of beautiful Mjøsa, the country's largest lake, and a short distance to hiking trails and swimming beaches in the summer, and beautiful groomed ski slopes in the winter. (It's only 30 minutes to drive to Lake Sjusjøen and a sea of ​​beautiful trails in the high mountains) There are many good opportunities for cycling on footpaths and cycle paths here, and there are good maps of paths in nature around Moelv.
