Mid-Century Laurel Canyon Retreat

Return to a Hollywood era gone by in this hillside hideaway. Open the patio doors and listen to the birds from a home that could double as a 1960s film set. Designed by architect Cliff May, this classic pad is in an equally iconic neighborhood. The main house features one bedroom with a queen sized bed and bathroom with shower. The other room downstairs is a large television family room, which along with the downstair bedroom, opens out to an expansive patio with a heated pool. Also found downstairs is an open kitchen, living room, and guest bathroom. Travel up the spiral staircase to find the master bedroom with king bed and bathroom with bath and shower. There is also a gorgeous patio off the master that overlooks the pool. Our home also features a guest house or office space with two twin murphy beds, desk, living room, and fabulous steam shower. In addition to a private gated entrance (accessible also with code), there is also a garage, driveway, and car park so parking space is ample! Amazing! POOL INFORMATION: PLEASE READ IF TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN Both the bedroom downstairs and the family room/tv room downstairs have doors opening to the pool. We have the gates that you can put up and are low enough for an adult to walk over so they can be left up all the time. We also have optional door alarms for those doors if you wanted to use them. We are making sure you have a full idea of the set up because we have a toddler and would want to know too! Along with a guest book, we are also available for recommendations and help during your stay. A short drive, but a far cry from the city's hustle and bustle, Laurel Canyon is famous for housing some of Hollywood's most rich and famous over the decades. Its’ winding streets climb the hills, where houses are nestled in rich green foliage. Laurel Canyon is ideal as it is close to Hollywood, West Hollywood, and Studio City as well as studios in Burbank and North Hollywood. Uber and Lyft are also amazing. Other amenities include both Time Warner Cable and Apple TV on both upstairs and downstairs TVs. There is AC and heating in both the main and guest house. Also, if you are familiar with Laurel Canyon, you will know that there is very bad cell phone service here. We have a land line that you are more than welcome to make domestic phone calls from. Sprint is the only carrier (as of now) with service, and with most other carriers, you will have little to no cell reception. However, the internet WIFI will enable your iMessage to work.
