Fishermans home, our cosy house, is loved by guests for its location, authensity and the spectacular fjord- and mountain view! Fishermans home offers privacy, perfect for couples, families or groups up to six persons. It is close to beaches, viewpoints and other adventures. In winter this is the place to go for toptour skiing and to watch the Northern Lights. Located along Scenic Route Senja, in the middle of the small fishing village Steinfjord, Fishermans home is easy accessible by car. The space The Fishermans home is a freestanding house in the middle of the village of Steinfjord. The village is a blend of old houses where locals live their daily life, some houses are being used as family holidayhomes and some is rented out for longterm or as airbnbs. You can drive up the small hill and park right outside the house, or leave your car down by the road or even at the other side of the road, where our boathouse is. An old barn at our property, was used for sheep, as the lifestyle up to modern times have been a combination of farming and fishing. Steinfjord is surrounded by wild mountains, giving a stunning view. Looking up when outside the front door, Mt Luttind peaks at around 790 mas. If you think of conquerring some of these mountains, dependng on season, various risks must be taken into consideration. Please ask! The kitchen is equipped to meet all your needs for todays homecooking and has a table for four persons. The living room has a large dining table for six persons (or more) and the lounge area offers comfortable furniture for relaxation and direct access to the terrace. The fireplace in the lounge can be used and wood is provided for a small surcharge. Kitchen, dining and living room all have large windows, providing an unforgettable view. The bathroom is small, not renovated but with newer amenities, like a shower cabinet, toilet and sink. All three available bedrooms are located one floor up. We prepare beds/rooms according to your request. The main bedroom has a kingsize double bed and a childrens bed. The other two bedrooms have twin beds. All bedrooms offers great view! The spacious terrace is perfect for relaxation and sharing a glass of wine. In wintertime, the terrace is perfect for looking for the Aurora. Our boathouse is straight down by the sea and you are welcome to also use our property to relax by the fjord. Steinfjord beach is few minutes walk away and Camp Steinfjord offers bar, restaurant and more. Senja by Sea is our boating company, offering fjordtours, deep sea fishing and boat adventures.
