Charming little guest cabin on a secluded cabin plot, with a stunning panoramic view of Rondane. Perfect starting point for hiking, biking and skiing. Drive right up (subject to accessibility in the winter months); free EV charging in front of the cabin. Two off-road bikes available. Climb mountain peaks, fish your own dinner, drink water straight from the well, and enjoy peace and quiet in the fresh mountain air. The cabin has a maximum of 4 beds and is best suited for a couple, singles, two friends, or a small family. The space Small, cozy and well-equipped guest cabin with mains electricity (no running water). However, the spring water in our private well just outside is lovely, ice cold and drinkable. Cozy living room with, among other things, a sofa/bed, rocking chair, wood-burning stove, TV, games, guitar and books. Well-equipped kitchenette with the possibility of preparing simple meals, with fridge and freezer, oven, two hobs (induction), and electric kettle. Make your coffee with a Nespresso machine or a French press. Family bunk bed (75x200 cm and 140x200 cm, new topper in 2026), with good duvets and pillows. In the living room there is also a very good bed (90 cm x 200 cm). Feel free to bring your own bedclothes and sheets. If necessary, bed linens and towels can be borrowed while supplies last. Indoor dry toilet. Wash basin inside the cabin. On the outside, there is an outdoor shower facility (NB: see manual). Outside you can enjoy the view, play badminton, have a barbecue, or relax in the hammock. Parking space outside the guest cabin, with free access to electric car chargers mode 3 type 2, which charge at approx. 5 kW/h. Two adult off-road bicycles are available for free rental. Charcoal grill, frisbee, badminton, ring game, boccia, kubb, sledging mat, snowshoes, three fishing rods and a landing net are freely available for borrowing. All this can be found in the hallway of the guest cabin. IMPORTANT - for the winter season: In case of large amounts of snow, it can be somewhat challenging to drive all the way up to the guest cabin. If there is no drivable road all the way to the cabin, there is a small parking area about 300 meters down the road, and a large parking lot at Mysusæter service center about 1.5 km from the cabin (fee NOK 60 per day). Guest access Our guests can use the entire guest cabin and the area outside, including the dining area in the long wall outside the main cabin. Other things to note This is a self-service cabin, where guests must empty the trash, take out ashes from the wood stove, clean and wash before check-out. The best way to get to the cabin is by car. There is a bus from Otta to Mysusæter from June 23 to August 17. A taxi from Otta to Mysusæter costs between NOK 500–650.
